I find it strange

I find it strange that people hurling death threats at random people and calling people obscene names in response to a tactical dispute in game would say that the people that don't want to put up with that kind of behavior are oversensitive snowflakes. I mean, it's the social equivalency of me walking by you and bumping you on the shoulder on accident, and you deciding to follow me to my house and set it on fire, on purpose, and then calling me oversensitive because I reported it to the police. Then your rationale dictates that the proper response should have been to go to your house and burn it down too, and then shoot your dog just to assert my dominance over you. I mean really, who's the oversensitive person?

This is a false equivalency...

The vast oversensitivity of this community can more accurately be seen by calling an 0/10 or worse player "bad". Sure, your example may not exactly mean people are sensitive, but the reactions you get from calling someone "bad" prove otherwise, as does the fact that Riot will permaban you for it.

Welcome to online gaming. You never know who these people are. Do you think 12 year old boys are rational, logical people? I sure wasn't when I was 12. If course it's strange, but all I can say is; get used to it. Don't try to rationalize it... it's purely irrational behavior because they just want to piss you off and deflect.

I would equate it to me bumping into you, and then you beat the merciless shit out of me and followed by home to spit on me, then getting mad when I filed for a restraining order. You're comparison seems a bit extreme. I get the point, though.

The same people calling others sensitive, lose their mind when they are the ones under fire.

"It's all fun and games until it affects me" syndrome
