Can someone explain why this warranted a 10 game chat restriction??

EDIT: Title was to also include the Honor rank reset to ZERO. The punishment doesn't fit the "crime"

This looks odd being out of context (i'm going to try and paint the picture of the chat at that time) and you can't see the team chat at all, but here's the chat log Rito sent me...

Game 1 In-Game

(Other team player walked away with 22 hp)

(Our jungle Riven stood and watched myself get 3v1 under tower mid lane. They just stood there until they got attacked too. They either needed to leave or fight. Not watch.)

(Went to asst bot lane at tower after they had FED 7 kills. Both ADC and Support had over 200 ad on the other team)

(At this point, I've had ZERO ganks or asst from the team. Top lane fed hard, bot lane also fed hard. Riven jungle was trolling most game. Riven and top lane decide to make snarky comments towards me because at this point my KDA is 0/6)

(Riven is top lane solo pushing a pointless lane, while bot is farming jungle and bot lanes. Mid is literally being pushed with Herald and 3 champs. I'm trying to defend)

(Riven is trash talking more saying I'm feeding and they are reporting me)

Jax (Top) 6/10/3 - After feeding top lane Riven (Jungle) 3/6/1 -Trolling jungle ME (Mid) 0/6/2 Trist (ADC) 3/7/4 -Would constantly start fights by jumping into the other team Lux (Support) 1/6/4 -Didn't say much in game, but they tried despite their adc feeding

Now this really pisses me off (not the chat restriction, but the fact I had JUST hit Honor Lvl 3 just a few hours before this troll game. Now it RESET the WHOLE honor to the very bottom!!)

Am I really warranted for a report and penalty for this crap?

Constant negativity and toxicity. Asking for reports, calling your teammates trolls, "I'm done"...That's a shitton of negativity.

You do nothing but scream at your team the entire time, including all-caps, calling for reports, accusations of trolling, etc. I notice that you've inserted frequent additions into your chat log to explain why you think your behavior was justified. Guess what? That's not a thing. There is never any justification to behave like you did, which is why you got a punishment. If you don't change your behavior, you'll be punished again, and again, and again, and then no more because that last one will be a perma. If you value your account, change your behavior now. It doesn't have to fit your standards; it has to fit LoL's standards. If you really want to flame your team, vent out loud instead of putting it in chat.

This one game, in isolation isn't really enough to get you chat restricted, but I will guarantee this isn't the only time you act this way. That's why you're getting chat restricted. Riot is telling you to knock it off.

The only bad thing here is that you didnt got 14 days ban. In which world you think harassing your team , screaminh at them , being rude to them or whatever you want to call it ... Is ok? Do you really think this is ok? If you do , you wont keep your account for long. Hope you change buddy.

When kids like u start getting insta chat banned maximum from 1 game toxicity would decrease... But i am aware many of flamers dont get banned from 1 game only....

Some good and (not good) input from the community has shed some light on this for the chat restriction part. I agree and disagree with the chat punishment. The issue I want explained is why would my Honor rank get set to Zero after it was just upgraded to level 3. Why would the system reward me all month long if i was "on the edge" of getting a punishment. Waiting for a response back from a support ticket.

Let's have you understand the behavioral system a bit more. Think of it like a health bar (or tension meter) in music games. When you hit the note at an off beat, your tension meter increases. When you completely miss a note, the meter increases by alot. When you hit the note at good timings, it reduces the meter.

Riot's behavior system works the same way, as in we all have a toxicity meter attached to our accounts. When players are mildly toxic, it goes up a tad. When people use hate speech, it pretty much fills up the meter. of course, clean games reduce the meter.

In this game, you showed a negative attitude of giving up, accusing others of trolling, threatening for reports, and blaming other players. Those typically are pretty minor offenses, but it does accumulate when you have a similar behavior over many games and eventually gets you punished.
