Why are in-game muted players unmuted in the post game lobby?

The whole reason why you would mute someone is if they are toxic/negative or you had a heated argument with them (I'm talking about chat not pings). For them to be able to say something after you muted them in-game I think is wrong. They should still be muted. Just had a game where there were 3 premades and they told me to go support because or all 3 of them would report me. I still went the lane I called and we ended up losing because 2 teammates on my team fed the enemy Quinn. I muted them in-game and all 3 of them were still able to say negative things about me in the post game lobby. It really puts me down when that happens so please do something about this. At least give an option that you could check mark saying something like "If you would like to keep muted players muted in the post game lobby" with a check box.

From a technical standpoint, lol.exe (in-game) is a different program than pvp.net (client). They currently don't communicate with each other in regards to the mute feature being passed onto each other.

While it is possible to program it to remember the mute options in post game, it probably isn't worth the development time to get them to be in-sync with each other.

Agreed and hopefully Riot is doing something to adjust the post game chat.

You know you can just leave the post game lobby as soon as the games over right? If you want to look at stats and stuff there is a nice menu designed for that as well.

It’s unfortunate, but when you report them, make sure you include a note about the post game.

Nothing is forcing you to read the chat in the post game lobby.

Just block the player as soon as you get into post-game, you can't see their messages if they're blocked, at all
