Assistance Please

I have already read all of the technical bs, so if you're here to gawk and make yourself feel important then please move along.

I was just banned for two weeks with no prior offenses. I've had this account for over 2 years with no prior punishment on it what so ever.

I was provoked; however, WHAT I SAID WAS TOXIC AND PUNISHMENT WORTHY.

BUT

Riot Support page reads: "First offence: 10 game chat restriction. Second offence: 25 game chat restriction. Third offence: Two week ban. Fourth offence: Permanent ban."

It does mention that the first two steps may be skipped depending on the severity of the offence, BUT keep in mind that I have never before been punished (except my LeaverBuster when my router went on the fritz).

Back to severity of offence; what I said was clearly punishment worthy, but I WAS PROVOKED before I ever got toxic, or began raging at these two players I was thoroughly provoked. They were both feeding heavily, and refusing to communicate. Once I did get them to communicate what I got in response was "fuck you". This is when I got toxic. I want to win. Not only are you being a detriment to the team, but you're also being toxic yourself. I reported both of the players I had issues with to no avail.

Muting isn't effective for some players. Some people are hot headed, and when their team starts to become abusive then these people fire back instead of just trying to take it, or hiding from it. I know that the person will be talking trash after I mute them. That gets under my skin more than what they're saying.

TL;DR: I am not asking for removal of punishment, but instead I would have it reduced to fit the crime; defending myself. If my sentence was reduced to the more fitting 10-25 game chat ban then it would be more fitting of MY FIRST OFFENCE.

Edit: I would also be satisfied if the people who provoked me were served an equal sentence for their toxicity.
