Punished 2 hours before the season ended.

I have been given my first chat restriction literally 1 hour before season ends effectively making me ineligible for the season rewards and unable to actually complete the games to be eligible again.

I have been playing this season very calmly and normal non-toxic and well founded at the start of the season, Grinded out my Gold 5 and ready to the season to end. I noticed that there was a little Porianna icon available and I wanted it, sadly it was 3 more ranked wins in. Not games but wins I saw down at around 8PM and decided to play out the games.

I played till around 1:30 AM EST The 2nd to last game I played could quiet possibly be the most generic toxic game you hear about in only myths. I had a support that was autofilled and angry he was given support. I banned Pyke as I usually do and he gets angry that I did such because he was going to play it yet never claimed his champion in chat or in the selection. He started swearing at me in Vietnamese, I offer him jungle again but he just copies and pastes the same phrase. I said a rude comment to stop speaking a different language and he wasn't going to get jungle. He proceeded to say he was going to steal all the kills etc.

Proceed to the game, he started feeding and the ADC started getting angry. ADC threatens to AFK. Support says w/e. and leave and both of them counter jungling me I got angry because they effectly began to ruin my play experience. I called them the C words and if they're going to AFK just AFK. I asked the enemy team if they can please report the players as they're well aware of them feed. I logged off after that game as I needed a break (Game ended with the 4-20 ADC who rushed Thornmail first item and the 8-15 Brand who stole all the CS and counter jungled me and shadowed me)

I log back in after taking a break and I was chat restricted and my honor lock to 1. Now I wouldn't mind this i deserved this but I am being punished an hour from the season ending and rewards being handed out. If it were a week ago I would work harder to get back my honor but instead I am put in a punishment from 1 game where it is impossible for me to effectively be able to come back. The reward system should not be tired to honor system or at least be tied to chat restriction, esp my first chat restriction on the account EVER. This has effectively killed my will to continue playing the game at all due to its poor player policy on rewards.

Even with the previous year's policy you won't get any rewards.

If it can help you: getting to lvl 1 honor (locked) to lvl 2 honor in a week is totally impossible.

So you were verbally abusive and negative (asking for reports) but you didn't deserve it?
The punishment system holds every player accountable for their OWN actions. If you're toxic because someone else is toxic they only look at you (and they look at them individually) -- context doesn't matter.
Also 1 report and 9 reports hold the same weight. Don't ask for reports.

Also its been this way for YEARS. In previous seasons you couldn't have a 14 day ban in the last 3 months and you couldn't end the season with a chat restriction. Since you got a 10 game chat restriction but only had an hour left you wouldn't have received rewards regardless because you wouldn't be able to complete the chat restriction on time.

There is a shockingly lack of compassion and just outright self-righteousness in this forum. I see the same people running around to every post like this basically telling people in the most smug way possible "You fucked up and don't deserve rewards. Haha!"

People make mistakes. One should never under any circumstance be representative of a trend. If the OP really did trash someone being an asshole in ONE game... he does not deserve to lose rewards.

This is not a good idea. It is much easier for Riot to deal with cases like this because it makes it significantly easier to deliberate and justify punishments.... However, players exist in this game that intentionally incite their own teammates. Not considering that situation, especially on a first offense... is a bit unfair.

Getting upset with 1 player who is blatantly trolling should not be treated equally to someone just raging at their teammates. Getting a 14 day ban implies you did something more serious that would actually merit losing end season rewards.

You are subject to the same rules as everyone else. It doesn't matter if it was 1 month or 1 minute before the end of the season. Did you somehow think that there was a window in which you could flame and be toxic and wouldn't be punished if it got reported? Should have just muted everyone. I guess you learned that one the hard way.

I was in a game once where I was teamed up with a 4 man premade and as per usual they were ganging up on me for every small mistake that I made so I devised a plan to strip them of their season rewards by provoking them non-stop with words that wouldn't get me banned like "cry".

Two of the four started fuming and called me the N word (hard R) and told me to kill myself. They also threatened to 4 man report me and I challenged them with a ban-off to see who gets banned first then proceeded to provoke them even more.

Flash forward 15 minutes later, I get two notifications side-by-side stating they were both punished while I got away scot-free.

To the Hecarim and Jhin I had the displeasure of getting teamed up with, all I can say is LOL.

Moral of the story: Just keep your composure and don't just randomly throw out invectives. Be wary of your insults and make sure you don't say something that could merit a ban. At the same time, make sure to provoke them and hopefully they make the mistake of saying ban-worthy stuff and that's when you hit that report button. Good luck next season mate.

Congrats, they recently announced a second chance for you. Take advantage of it - get back to 2 by February(I think it's Feb 11) and you'll still get your rewards.
