I find this disturbing to the max

I find this to be extremely disturbing. While playing a game a minute ago, for some odd reason and not the first them I have seen this behavior but this time it was directed towards me and not sure why for which I had said nothing in the chat to this point. Abusive chat and vulgar language. When someone talks about my mother and makes comments that I should of been swallowed and not born, I am a whore and so is my mother and my mother is a slut and these 3 kept going on the entire game. NOT the only game today this has happened. And guess who walks in my house? My mother to drop something off and leans over to watch the game play and see the chat. WOW. She is offended and pissed off. When asked why they are talking like that I said that is a normal chat. It truly is. When asked what can be done about it I say probably nothing but I can submit a report for abusive language. And to the no surprise 5 minutes later and 10 minutes later no response back from the report saying anything was done in a corrective manner. Now I have a offended parent, I am pissed off and the toxic behavior is climbing worse. My mother by the way says she is contacting the lawyer. Cyber abuse and that behavior isn't right. Now if you ask why wasn't I mute them? it all came at once in the chat and up until that point If it is quite I leave it open to communicate if needed besides pings. If it gets worse I close it. I want to know what riot is doing about this? This isn't right and this time, caught by someone else and a person who didn't take it as a game joke but really offended at how bad people treat others in this game.

I don't get why people assume Reporting doesn't work. Let alone the fact you did mute them. You have so much power in this game that you don't use it to its full potential. Yes it does sucks to have people like this, but there is nothing we can to prevent it. It's just how the internet is. People will act a different way because they can get away with it. But Riot cannot help if you don't do your part by reporting them and leaving as much details as you can in the comment section.

Aside from that what else can they do? If people continue to act that way they will get punish to the point of a permaban! With that said this is a free to play game and as such anyone can make an account for free and continue to act like that. The only way to stop that would be by either making the game pay to play, or make some rules that prevents people from making another account. But then what will happen to people who have multiple accounts?

With the current punishment system, most of the time punishments are given when a player exhibits unacceptable behavior across multiple games. If it's only a single game, then unfortunately it's likely that they won't be punished.

Knowing this, if someone you reported wasn't punished immediately after the game you played with them, it's likely because they don't behave like that very frequently. As I said before, a single game generally won't result in punishment. This doesn't mean that their behavior is acceptable or that your reports don't do anything. That kind of behavior is definitely unacceptable, and if they continue with it, then your report will most definitely help in punishing them.
