Why aren't flagged phrases such as 'kys' completely banned from chat?

There are so many cases of people typing tame things like this and the system skipping them straight to a 14 day ban whilst people are getting chat restrictions for threats of murder and doxxing, inting and racism. If they have such a strict stance on 3 letters all they have to do is make it so you simply can't send those messages in game, which will also prevent people getting banned for saying kys on ARAM. The system is counter-productive.

Thoughts?

People would just find a way around simple censor, making Riot's job a lot harder. It would also prevent premades of 5 from talking to eachother how they want.

  1. People would easily find ways around it.

  2. It's much easier to ban toxic people if you let them be extremely and blatantly toxic. I'd rather someone ruin one game, then get banned, then take 3 or more games to get punished because they didn't say anything extremely toxic since they weren't allowed to. If you punish for it after blocking it, people have the excuse they knew it wouldn't be seen.

How do you even know? You only started surfing Boards just yesterday because you were complaining about being banned.
