You get punished by being on a win streak?

So im on a 5 game win streak, oh boy who will be in my next game and since i am doing so well im gonna try out this other champ ive been practicing a lot with. Gets in game as a silver 4 92 lp, gets a bronze 2 in the game on my team against silver 3's. Okay I guess ill just camp him then since he will probably feed. 4 minutes in he dies. 6 minutes in he dies. He isnt even giving me a chance to gank, he pushes the wave and dies so I tell him to stop so he feeds even more. I get to silver and still play with bronzes? What's the point of a ranking system and different leagues then?

Hey homie i understand it can be frustrating i just lost three consecutive games to players running it down mid the best you can do is not let it tilt you and move on.

Not really punished, but im almost sure i once heard Riot tries to keep Players around a 50% Win Rate. Thats why its so normal to have really bad streaks and extremly good streaks. According to my own Games i can confirm that these Loss-Win Streaks swap rather hard.

Or maybe im just spreading Nonsense here. I would not take my words for granted without further proof.

I believe the match making system tries to equal out the MMR's of each team

So if team 1 has 1000 MMR and team 2 has 1000 MMR, in theory, there's a 50/50 chance of either team winning.

If you do coin tosses and see:

heads, heads, heads, heads, tails, heads, heads, tails, heads, tails, tails, heads, tails, tails tails, tails

Would you be surprised?

Correlation and causation are not the same.
