The Anti Tilt Checklist!

If someone has the original reddit and source of this, I'll edit it into the title. It got passed to me by a friend of a friend. But you can also apply it to others. If they died, what could you have done to prevent it from happening? Why does it make you angry?

Remember, getting angry at yourself and others is a natural response, at first, but you need to rapidly change it into understanding and a positive change. After you learn to do that, you'll stop getting angry at you and others dying and realize it is just part of the game.

Step 1:

  • how did i die?: Tahm kench ate me and flashed 5v2 into enemy team on purpose
  • was it my fault: no
  • What could i have done to prevent this from happening?: absolutely nothing
  • Why does this make me angry?: take a big fucking guess

Step 2:

  • How does this impact the game: Well, you have a support forcing his own death and yours so im guessing negatively
  • How can i stop the situation from escalating?: FF at 15.
  • What can i do differently this time compared to last time?: blow my flash and escapes to prevent a troll kench from eating me i guess which still wont stop him from doing it to himself and others.
  • Do we required a change in tactics? lol
  • A negative situation is a que for positive change!: sure buddy.

step 3:

  • What Went wrong?: Some asshat made it his mission to 100% guarantee a loss on his teammates. didnt say a word in chat so he wont get banned
  • What could i have during this game to change it?: you already asked this question...
  • What can you d....: NOTHING

Step 4:

  • is league that important to you? probably not, but having fun in a VIDEO GAME and not having people do everything in their power to ruin that fun sure is.
  • its a game! have fun!: and this is why im still tilted. Atleast that troll sure had fun tho when he made it a lifes goal to take other peoples fun away :).

that checklist is ultra biased. the majority of tilt does not come from a lost game alone, it comes from trolls who are immune to punishment because they dont talk in chat and it can be talked up to just having "a bad game".

Some of this would be fixed if reports actually did something. The frustrating part of playing (ranked especially) is that you can't rely on your team AT ALL, if you fail there's no jungler or roaming mid to help you because the other lanes are also losing. YOU have to carry, it's always on YOU even though it's a TEAM GAME. Also the loss vs gain in LP is like adding salt to a wound, it doesn't matter to the system if you're the best player on your team, you're still losing 20LP or gaining 12LP.

TLDR : You're punished more than you're rewarded in this game...which is tilting.

This is really nice! Hopefully, people will put it to good use. It contains a lot of guidelines and questions for practising self-control and improving your gameplay.

I can shorten it for you.

  1. What did you do wrong? You installed LoL.
  2. How can you fix it? Uninstall and play something that isn't a horrible toxic mess.

Guaranteed to fix any raging issues, eliminate trolls, cure balance issues, and make life better.

I get this, but honestly how quickly situations escalate into blink of the eye one shots is a type of frustration I'd rather have Riot deal with as a whole rather than trying to win a game at the first minute to carry the win throughout the entire game as when you're ahead it's way to easy to carry that lead throughout the entire game.

this is awesome, credit to whoever made this. It is going to become a printed poster for my local club.

That checklist sucks when it comes to accounting for trolls, griefers and your team playing like shit making it impossible to win x)

Like say when you play botlane and your partner just keeps getting caught because they are greedy or trying to win a impossible fight, even if you tell them to stop you´ll be told you are r%%%%%ed and when you try to help next time and both die you´ll be called useless trash.

Goes for playing either support or marksman.

Or when you jungle, one or two lanes keep overextending like hell giving the enemy jungle easy kills causing him to snowball and collapse other lanes while you are still trying to finish your second or third clear.

Is this game important? Well its a video game in which you are meant to try and have fun, so seeing rampart toxicity, trolling and people acting like they cant understand what they are doing so horribly wrong is a bit aggravating.

Like i dont mind a few mistakes, but intentionally trolling, flaming and inability to learn from one´s own repeated mistakes kinda kills my hope for the match.

KentaToxic1/31/2019, 1:22:32 AM1 votes

Why do you all act like people don't go 0/10/2 in the first 5 mins? Why does this game punish people for doing good. I go 17/0/14 one the very next one I get horrible feeders. I intentionally feed and go 0/12/1 one game, the very next game my team is so good in don't have to do anything but farm. Why does intentional feeding not exist to riot?? Everyone just had "bad games"???

I actually recall once back in season 3/4 I was playing old GP and basically literally did everything and I mean EVERYTHING I could have done to win the game but it was simply too heavy and the enemy team had the guts to say "what could you have done to win the game?"

Like ya sure ignore my extremely high CS when I was in lane...ignore the fact I killed top multiple times and used my ult to try and help bot during fights. Ignore the fact that mid lane fed out the ass to a zed the entire time. I don't think it's wrong to say "think on how to fix your mistakes" but to go that far when someone did that damn well was disgusting.

It's funny to see people complain about their teammates. The best and only solution to never tilt is to blame yourself for everything. You are doing good on toplane? Pushing farming like a boss? Nice! Botlane is losing or Mid is being ganked 24/7? You should have used your tp to help botlane out, apply additional pressure on top to force the jungler to come to you and take some time off of mid.

If you can't see that you can't carry. It's as easy as that. And you WILL lose it's not magic, you could be a pro-player against a full bronze team, eventually you will encounter a game that you will lose.

Ænema Lateralus1/31/2019, 4:03:30 PM1 votes

im already doing these things anyway i hardly get tilted ..

6KEMBE4ORBA1/30/2019, 7:23:49 PM1 votes

Yeah, nice list.

Plat elo goes to contest an Ocean drag vs all enemy team there (at 30 min mark) instead of listening of my call and taking a free baron when we could easily do it.

They listened to my calls from time to time so I gave them baron later + 2 inhis, sadly they wanted to ARAM on SR, didn't play the map whole game and we lost.

Too heavy to carry.

I'm playing since season one and I've seen it all ---> the majority of people are braindead. Even in diamond.

i bet 90% of the ppl who are really mad/toxic/tilted wont read this because toxic ppl dont read

also: i tilt like maybe 2 out of 100 games and this "checklist" doesnt help at all lol. i know if i die its usually my fault. i know what i did wrong. i know lol is just a game. but when i tilt i tilt. and asking myself that stuff doesnt help me untilt. AGAIN this is super rare

nelogis1/30/2019, 3:05:31 PM1 votes

By the time you are done with the checklist you already got punished for being AFK
