Is it toxic to play during a hurricane?

I live in Hawaii. Is it toxic to play league during the hurricane? It will get my mind of it, but I don't want to get banned off dcing in the middle of it. (Norms btw not going into ranked)

If you play at a time when you know that you might DC then yes it is toxic. Its like choosing to invite friends over when you know you might hav to leave in a few minutes.

You should focus on other things during this time.

League isn't something you should focus on when there's a hurricane coming your way. Focus on family and friends, and stay with them during these times.

Toxic is not the best word for it, don't need to be so harsh on yourself.

Connectivity issues that can appear due to something that you can't control still counts as disconnect and impacts the game in a negative way, however the reason for your connectivity issue does not matter for a company.

My advise would be to post-pone league and make sure to keep yourself and your family safe first. The game is not going anywhere as long as polish and rusian players play it :D as they are the majority of the servers here in EUNE

It's not a good idea, but it's definitely not toxic. I would say play an aram or practice game first in order to check your connection. Stay safe!

As long as you're not disconnecting in my ranked games, I couldn't give 2 fucks.

Personally, if I know I might have to leave or if there's a known dc risk, I'll play a single player game or, if I play multiplayer, it's not a game that cares about dc's.

My connection is fine, I play on 110 ping anyways. I only really notice ping issues when it's above 300. Prob going to get my last couple ranked games in before it hits my island tomorrow.

I don't plan to ping if my net connection just randomly drops or if my power surges. I meant if I am just waiting on it and then stuff happens.

It’s a weird case... definitely don’t play ranked... erm prbly also play with a group of around 3 (id play with u but can really only play on Saturdays). Definitely explain what is happening Incase u get disconnected. If ur ping gets to a point where u def can’t play (the moment it becomes unfun for u and ur just staring at the screen waiting to move). A lot of players in the Caribbean have or had ping exceeding 150 and we still can play pretty well (lol when we get on 25 ping we absolutely smash 😂😂). So between 150-250 is still playable.. 300 is where the glitching starts becoming extremely prevalent and u can’t really move.. above 400 don’t play, at that point it’ll start fluctuating up to 3000 and ur movements are like 10-15 secs delayed anyways.

I can offer u some books to read if ur unable to watch vids/play games. (They are online but u can load the chapters and keep them saved... and they are AMAZING reads)

Lol, we had a bit of a tropical wave hit us here in Barbados for the past week, was mainly just a ton of rain. Hopefully u remain safe in Hawaii and not too much damage (if any) occurs.
