PSA About Punishment Messages

You do not ALWAYS get a message if a player you reported is punished.

Stop using the excuse of "i feel like im the only one punished when me and them both flame eachother and report each other.... But i was punished and received no message saying they were too"

Also, Forums do nothing but get player feedback on your punishment. It will not actually do any help in any way except to get one of two things... Rarely both.

To have it explained why you were punished.... Most common.
To be sent to the support website with the correct thing to say to get the best possible chance of getting help. Unlikely, but there have been a few times that there is a person who posted logs that had the POSSABILITY of getting help.

This is a ploy for sympathy which you will not get.

In fairness, the system COULD be better explained. It's an honest point of confusion for many people, and one of the easiest things Riot could fix to help players feel like their reports have weight. I don't want it to pop up an alert EVERY damn time, but a stat somewhere that shows "punishments contributed to" or something might be helpful.

The PSA is definitely useful though.

honestly i think itd be better if every proper report gave a message to the reporting players not just the last. And the arguement they dont want to annoy us is the ones thats always used to counter this. Then they could just give us the option to disable punishment notifications in settings similar to esports.

Possibly, but also you have to think..... Theres a lot of false reports that happen as well. Someone could just report everyone in every game to try and "rack up those punishment assist points"..... Would those be considered? How long is the time that you would be "assisting" those punishments? There is a lot of factors im sure that others can think of that i cant atm..... But those two or three are just off the top of my head.

I personally dont mind how its done right now anyways, i see some people get punished, i pretty much forget about others..... Its all good to me. They are out of sight and out of mind, they are not worth the additional thought.

However, if every report on a person got a "punishment assist" message sent, i wouldnt mind that either..... But if you get one really wonky, like months after you reported someone, you could get it and be like "what? When did report someone last....." which then cuts out the "feeling good about reporting, that i actually am helping" kinda feeling you were describing.

Mostly this is here for the "currently this is how it is" for those that seem to have no clue that you do not always get a message when you report someone and they are punished lol

i meant only reports the system judged to be contributing in the punishment. But yea i guess them wonky ones could be weird.

For sure lol, think im going to copy my post down the road to see if i can get some other commentary about this lol, cause honestly ive seen people seem pretty tilted because they "didnt get a punishment notification" and so the process of explaining happens yet again.... Lol

Oh i fully understand how the notification works i just question why my way isnt implemented. But truly i feel the lol community is one of the laziest when it comes to self research look at the countless post asking if item sets are coming back when they should have a idea at this point.

Well yeah, you do, so does quite a few others..... However, it seems that this knowledge is not as common as one would believe.

But yeah, most just do not know or care to research about the notification.

Honestly i am surprised nobody has tried being a smarty pants and tried saying "well, if your tired of explaining it, you do know you dont have to right?" lol

But yeah, figured id post this to hopefully get it viewed and have it explained a few times without needing to type it all out multiple times xD (im lazy like that)
