Not here to bitch, nor do I want your pity, so relax before you downvote me. I was one of those people who would always say "Riot won't ban me" whenever someone said they'll report me. Then I got chat-suspended. I stopped talking shit. Then I started doing it again. And I got chat-suspended again. It wasn't until the 14-day ban that I really tried to change. I turned off all-chat. I started muting team mates that tried to flame me. I said "good job" when we did something right instead of saying "why" when we did something wrong. It's been a good two or three weeks since I received he 14-day suspension. I haven't been reported up until the very last game I played (and if I have, they aren't showing me any chats from them, so I can only assume it's this one game where I relapsed). I spent a lot of money on my account. I doubt I'll waste time trying to get it back. I know I fucked up. I tried to reform. But trying isn't enough.

If you've been punished and you're still talking shit or being salty, I'm asking you to stop. For yourself. It's not worth having to get back to level 30. It's not worth having to buy all those skins and rune pages. It's not worth the feeling of knowing you basically just lost $500 or so on the sidewalk. Being toxic isn't worth it. Responding to other toxic people isn't worth it. I'm going to make a new account now, because I know the stigma attached to getting punished any sort of way in this community isn't worth dealing with. But I just hope this reaches someone out there who's struggling to reform and gives them something to think about. I've been doing well since I got banned but this one relapse fucked me over. Don't fuck yourself over. It's not worth the permaban. Goodbye.

TBH I really want this guy to get his account back off of the sheer fact I have never seen a post like this where the person admits they goofed. That's pretty big and I hope you read this and consider it seriously. Give him the account back and delete the thread so people don't just try and replicate it after being dicks

I'm just saying that if you had ever looked for such a thread you would have found it earlier and that such threads have been extant for a while.

"The first one I've seen" means little if you never look for it. It'll only be true when it gets slammed in your face for one reason or another; and that event has never happened before.

Yeah, it has meaning; but it lacks some punch.

Anyway, I'm just being silly. I like saying words and things.

Then again I suppose previous punishments add up against you.

On the bright side, seeing somebody who is reasonable about accepting their ban is quite refreshing, as much as it sucks for you.

Feel ya buddy, Lost a 3 and a half years old account with Diamond border and 1900$. Not worth, all of that because I deffended a friend of mine being bullied because he was black(Obviously I did not talk back in a polite way, actually did the complete opposite... Really the complete opposite). But tbh, I do not regret a thing. Other than all the effort I spent on that account, screw the money, I'l flame any other racist I find on my new accounts. And they will get banned if they need to be. But, I'm not the guy who is gonna stand down to some retarded rednecks pieces of shit talking bout lynching and all that kind of crap. I guess Riot might see some more of my accounts on their perma ban list, if I have the badluck to find some of these kids.

Yaaaa, you should drop that white Knight attitude when it comes to kids talking shit in LoL. If this happened in real life, by all means, defend the victim. But this is the internet. The thing is.. WHY should you bring salt to the chat because of an AFK? why not just verbally curse out loud to yourself or something? you can curse to your luck goddess, or maybe blame that AFK dude, but say it out loud instead of writing it on a chat.

If someone's salty first? WHY should you answer them? WHY should you reply to them? Is there any need to do that? Will you earn a mystery skin or $1000 just by replying? nope. You don't benefit anything from answering toxic people. End game. Report them. Say nothing.

Doing things in real life draws uneeded attention, is likely even less productive than typing it in chat, and hardly relieves anger. You start taking anger in videogames to real life, and you might end up being like that one guy who killed his roommate because he lost a game of League (idk)

Answering them takes out frustration more efficiently, and having teammates who will agree with it will help even more. WHY should you not answer them? Does Riot shower you with magic for not typing? If you have an afk, it's frustrating to be locked in for 20 minutes

I've been getting better at it lately, with the help of my friends. It's a lot harder now that I can't play league with them anymore, though.

That's what hurts me the most about my own ban. Not the money or the skins. The fact that it's the only activity I could do with my friends who live too far away to hang with outside the realm of the internet. The thing that could actually help me become a better person, and I denied myself that chance.

But WHY?

If people do something, you should be allowed to retaliate. Yes, when someone does something bad, you shouldn't just sit and do nothing. You shouldn't take in any sort of toxicity, at all.

If someone tells you to killyourself, you shouldn't have to take any of it. You should be allowed to retaliate. No, it doesn't "negatively affect the other 8 people in the game".

Even if you mute, damage has already been done.

Reporting doesn't relieve stress; you're still on tilt. It will likely do little, and having no other people care or just ignoring the issue and leaving, it's even more frustrating. It's one of the things that people are irked about in the current report system; They don't feel like their reports are doing anything. Whereas, if you at least participated in the old Tribunal, you felt that you were doing SOMETHING.

And don't just reply with some copy-pasted answer, please.

Hey good luck on your new account man. I know I had issues with rage (thankfully I was never banned for it) when I started playing a couple years ago. But my intense longing to be good at this game taught me the benefits of being positive and a good/helpful teammate. Also the usefulness of the mute button. League of Legends taught me a valuable life lesson on keeping cool, compromising, and being optimistic no matter what the state of the game could be at that time. To me, I saw that, practically, there was no reason to focus on the past and what mistakes could have happened, since I cannot change the past. Rather I need to focus on the future and what I can still do to win.

If someone insults someone else in the slightest of ways there's just this shit strom of bans. Yes, I do understand that someone who just insults their team for no reason is anoyying, but thats reality.

No one is going to be out there and hold your hand, bu punishing all the bullies.

If you look at all the main stream competative games, trash-talking and taunting are not punishable offences, and for good reason. The main objective is to win, and show to your opponents that you are more skilled than them, the trash talk is just another part to that.

The fact Riot puts almost as much work into banning someone for calling some else a "poopyhead", as they do in other core elements of the actual game is kinda funny.

Pretty sure if you email them, and you made purchases with real money and they wont reimburse you or transfer over RP or whatever it is that you actually did pay for, that you then have an actual legal case against them. It doesn't matter if you break the rules or not in that particular case, because if you pay for goods and services and do not get what you pay for, that is against the law. Especially in the united states. Im not saying sue them, nor am I condoning bad behavior, but if you paid money into it, you shouldn't have to repay it all to receive the same things you have already purchased.

Considering the context is praising you, no -- It's not directed as a burn at you, but a burn at every player who wants to claim that Riot doesn't have the right or power to do what they do concerning takedowns and bans.

E. Suspension/Termination. By Riot Games. You acknowledge and agree that such Game Assets are accumulated as part of your Account and therefore you shall have no ownership or other property interest in any of those Game Assets. You further acknowledge and agree that Riot Games has the right, but not the obligation, to delete, alter, move, remove, or transfer any and all Game Assets, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, with or without notice to you, and with no liability of any kind to you. Riot Games does not provide or guarantee, and expressly disclaims any value, cash or otherwise, attributed to any data residing on servers operated by Riot Games, including without limitation the Game Assets associated with your Account.\

So, this might be news to you, maybe its not, who knows? BUT just because a company has it in their policy that states what they can and cannot do, that does not make it legal. If you pay money for goods and services, and goods and services are not being rendered, that is against the law. Be it physical or digital, furthermore, In civil court, you don't need evidence per say to have a case, all you are required to have is standing. This would be more then enough to see its day in court.

Show an example where someone has sued a company for actions that occur due to breach of contract on the player's part, please.

I really don't understand why people who play this game behaive like they are teenagers with their emotions/hormones out of control.....oh, I played myself Usually games set rules that are black and white, Riots system is a complete mind F on every level Not being racist, homophobic or hateful? Dun worry banned cuz swears even though the person who reported you had chat filter and never saw any swear words. Being negative or toxic is all a matter of opinion and with that said I offended by everything so all my reports are valid. If the other team wins that's toxic.

You don't get banned for using swear words. I use them all the time. It's how you use them. You can swear without being a jerk; you can be a jerk without swearing. Riot is much more concerned with people being jerks.

Here's some general guidelines: If what you're doing or saying wouldn't be okay if you were looking someone in the face, it's probably toxic. If it would cause a fight in real life, it's probably toxic. If you would be irritated if someone else were doing it to you, it's probably toxic.
