If someone's angry they're angry if they are past the point of no return it doesn't matter how you treat them they will still be the same.

Sometimes being friendly actually pisses people off. It depends. That is why it is always better to que with friends, so that you know who they are and how they react.

Source -- I say glhf and get the response "f you and ur -censored censored censored-". If someone is a rager, nothing you do is gonna change them which is why you shouldn't respond and just mute or ignore.

Now if you are asking "can you avoid making someone rage by being friendly" then I'd say yes you can since a positive atmosphere can keep them calmer and more likely to just talk things out. Don't instigate anything, be kind and a team player, apologize for mistakes, and look for opportunities to note their good plays. If someone is on the fence, good behaviour can swing them to the good side, but if they are a rager at heart, there's nothing to be done.

i try to start each game off on a positive note, saying that i hope we all have some fun..... a good amount of the time i get back shut the fuck up, dont tell me what to do, go fuck yourself, ect.... even from my own team....

so ya...you dont control other people, we can only control our own actions.... being polite is a reward in itself as you dont have the anger follow you around as much
