If Riot banned whole premades for actions of toxicity fromtheir premade

I think it would decrease the amount of toxicity in games. Maybe I'm bias but I just started ranked today and have had premades intentionally losing games in 40% of my matches. Since the players don't care for people outside their premade, holding their premade accountable as a whole makes more sense. They should also only be given 1 vote to prevent them from holding other players hostage with their "illegal" behavior (against ToS and summoners code).

I have a sneaking suspicion this isn't true.

Since the players don't care for people outside their premade

yay over generalization! I would be willing to bet you've had more games than you realize with premades, but didn't take note of the times when they weren't toxic assholes because no one ever complains about dynamic queue or premades when they're winning.

holding their premade accountable as a whole makes more sense.

punishing multiple people for the actions of one person doesn't make any sense. I can't control their actions.

They should also only be given 1 vote to prevent them from holding other players hostage

I'm assuming you're referring to surrender vote, which again, that's just dumb. Just because you queue with someone, doesn't mean you're going to think and act identically. I've voted no when a person in my premade started a surrender vote. I've voted yes when they've voted no. Surprisingly individual people still think as individuals even when playing with people they know.

So if people are playing with somebody in a premade they don't really know that much, and that person turns out to be an asshole, and then they report him for that... and let's say hypothetically, that the non-premade actually doesn't report him. Then effectively 3 people are being punished for trying to clean up the community.

Yay for sense-making.

But even without examples like that, it's simply not okay to punish people for things they didn't do. In part because what you say about "players don't care for people outside their premade" is simply not true, but also because the premade is not some weird form of hivemind where nothing happens without the permission of the premade. Individuals make decisions, and individuals should be punished for it.

Now, if you can somehow prove that the punishable offense was tolerated by the rest of the group (which is practically impossible in most cases) I'd agree. But I'd argue that endorsing/encouraging these actions is reportable already. If nothing else, it could count as Unsportsmanlike Behaviour

Dont be naive; banning the whole premade maeans four players will be banned. U gotta understand it affects their popularity and money spent on the game. And they put out dynamic queue for a reason which is to encourage more people playing it even though they dont say it out loud. Sure there are toxicity but people still enjoy playing as a group and since they also bring up group tag for fds to play tgt with. Best thing to avoid toxicity is to find a group of people who actually play for ranked and serious instead of playing solo. Thats how prople used to climb rank by duoing with a good smurf or good players back in the old days

During premades the people who usually get reproted are the ones who aren't in the premade. It is not often riot will act on a single report. This is a not effective idea that will just make premades abuse their powers more often.
