"I have a high ping, so don't blame me for feeding"

Every so often I encounter teammates that play League with full knowledge that their network connection or hardware is slow and/or unreliable. Until about 0/3 they spam the chat in full caps lock with "MY PING! LAG! OMG OMG!", and defending themselves later by stating:

"Sorry, but my PC is bad" "Yeah, I play over WiFi" "My sister tends to stream Netflix over the same connection"

And every time I roll my eyes so hard, they must probably hear it. Why, for God's sake, why do you play an online team game when you know that your equipment is not suited for it? I never understood that.

So, to make it short, I'd like to have a change to the client. Make the client check the ping when queue starts and block players with a high ping from queueing up. Also, give players with high latency some in-client advices. Riot did a pretty nice information video about connection troubleshooting a couple of months ago, maybe link that too.

The Moments when your teammates ping their "high" 90ms or 105ms, but your ping is on average 95-110ms :D

I report if a report is needed. If you leave game, i personally dont care if its your internet or if your house got blown up. Reported. That way if your house seems to blow up more often than others, youll get punished.

Difference between high ping and lag.... If you have a consistent low jitter connection around 175ms you can probably make it work.... If you spike into 500+ every 15 seconds probably shouldn't play

Yeah, I gotta feel for someone who's ping starts lagging 20 mins into game, but if they start out and they're lagging and they have the AUDACITY to make one of those excuses, yea fuck 'em.

My friend has high ping. You know what her answer is? She doesn't play. High ping is no excuse, because you know going in that you've got high ping. If your ping is unusually high, the correct thing to do is play under turret until the issue alleviates itself. Ping should maybe force a death on occasion, but should never force you to outright feed.
