A violent bloody mess

I've noticed allot of people getting ban because of what they say in game. In a game where everyone basically slaughters everyone in a violent bloody mess how can saying naughty words result in a ban. This just dose not make sense to me. You run around KILLING people with death animation and the whole 9 yards but get upset and cuss about it and suddenly your the villain and not suitable to play this killing game. Wtf.

Large difference between extreme cases and the average or even mild bans. Large difference in discepencies of actual punishments dished out.

True... I called a guy the N-word in a game and got a 10-game chat ban. Riot's system was lenient to me that time, but I most assuredly won't be calling anyone that any time soon.

I'm being absolutely serious, I got a hefty chat ban after two games of toxic behavior. I realize now that I got really salty and took it out in chat rather than doing the right thing and removing myself from the client for a good chunk of time to cool off and settle down. I was totally in the wrong and I got called out for it really fast.

In all honesty though, if you wanna talk smack in game, do what some others do, like typing "cya nerd" in all chat. It's basically saying "lol you suck ass" without sounding mean. I had that typed to me in all chat from a Katarina after I went after her twice on Ahri and failed. Got quite a laugh after that, but it also told me I'm playing way too aggressively.

Is there a large difference? There are counter measures to abuseive chat. Aka mute. There is no way to turn off or have an alternate death animation. I mean, if they want to make it all e-sports care bare. No ones feelings gets hurt or ego bruised might as well take away both, OR!, Be realistic and not ban people when they get mad and cuss over their characters death or others deaths because they are passionate about winning. Also, the only sport I can think of that involves death is back in Roman days. Haha... Yeah.

Granted the mute button is there to silence a toxic player, but reporting is still necessary to make sure they receive punishment. And trust me, I never thought it mattered after some 300+ legit reports till one day, I got a message on the client that said a player I had chosen to report (who happened to be on my team in a prior game) was punished by the tribunal. Makes you feel good when you do right by the community.

TL;DR Use the mute button in game, but always report toxicity. It will get punished eventually.

Those pixels you are "killing" - not real. Those people you are yelling at: very real. That is sometimes easy to forget when you are staring at a computer screen.

Yas or yi would tell you that the sword becomes an extension of your arm. Dose the character become an extension of the summoner? Hummm lol. Also, those pixels on the screen are words too. So by your logic it's not real either.

Give this man a +1.

Same reason you get automatically banned in twitch chat for cursing in the Twitch presentation of battlefield, where the in game characters shout profanities and slaughter one another. A hypocritical double standard.
