Wondering if I will be banned for this?
Hello. I intentionally fed during a game. Here's what happened:
During champ select of a ranked game, two people said "mid or feed" immediately. I was 3rd pick, planned on "fill" but I never even got that far. The two trolls argued a bit, then I started ranting and scolding them in champ select, decrying the frequency of trolling players and complaining aloud to no-one in particular that there never seems to be a game with five serious players. The two trolls picked Urgot, then Katarina. At that point, I believed them when they said they were going to intentionally feed. I picked Teemo. They had both said mid or feed, and both had taken champs while specifically saying that they were going to troll with them. In my mind, I basically said "F*** it" and I was like "well, I guess I can feed with you guys. Bet I can get more deaths than you!" Might as well have a little fun while others are ruining your ranked game, right?
But then everything changed once the game loaded. I started the mid feed process, and they suddenly changed tune. A complete 180. Acting like I was the troll, blaming me, and saying I was lying about what had happened in champ select. At this point I was pretty angry. Even now, I don't know what the reality was: were they trolling me in champ select but actually planned on playing serious, or, had I not given them a scapegoat, would they have trolled ingame? I don't know. But what was done was done. I had picked Teemo, hadn't even bothered to look at which runes and masteries I had on. I had champ selected specifically to mid feed - based on, and in reaction to, their behavior during champ select. So I just ran mid and fed about 20 kills while arguing with them in all-chat. And apologizing to my non-troll teammates for the situation.
I figured, if the Tribunal reviewed this game, they would see that I didn't start it. That I actually desperately wanted these guys to just play for real. I'd like to, someday, have a game without trolls, after all (so, so rare are those games).
BUT THEN I GOT TO THINKING:
Why had they done that 180 once the actual game started?
It prompted me to come to this forum to investigate, and I turned up this little gem from the Tribunal FAQ post:
> "**Does Tribunal show pre-game and post-game chat? ** > This is something in our backlog, however we are working on some higher priority features to improve Tribunal. "
Well Hell. These guys knew that, clearly. I didn't. I feel like I got set-up.
In my years of playing League, I have never - NOT ONCE - initiated a problem. I am always nice as a first instinct. I've never put down anyone for playing bad (that would be very hypocritical of me LOL). I tolerate a LOT of really inappropriate crap from the community. However, I have FINISHED a problem a few times. For example, if a guy is absolutely going off on me undeserved and being very offensive, I'll sometimes just say "I'm going afk because of you" and I do just that. I don't get mad. I get even. I'm not going to put up with these horrible people and their attitudes. But it's really rare that I do that. Only extreme cases.
Anyway, will I be banned by the Tribunal? This whole situation feels pretty unfair right now. I sure hope not. I just want to play. And my chat, pre-game, in-game, and post-game, will reflect that - always. However, in this case, if the Tribunal is only seeing the in-game chat, I'm kind of worried about this one.
I've never before been banned or chat restricted or reprimanded, as far as I remember.
Also, does the Tribunal take only one game into consideration, or multiple games? Because my mid-feed game was sandwiched in between the game before, when we had an afk Volibear support and I tried anyway but we lost, and the game after, when I played very well as Sona support and received compliments and honor from my winning teammates (especially my Jinx). It was one of those rare games that keeps me playing League.
