Whats the deal with all these Permabanned Players?

I read through a lot of the discussions on Player Behaviour & Moderation and I see a lot of the same complaints.

Players will complain about their right to free speech and how pathetic it is that cursing will get them banned. They will talk about how unfair it is that other players troll but they are the one that gets the ban, or how they lose their temper just once and get punished. They will try to negotiate the terms of the punishment, normally asking for chat restrictions. Often times they will bring up excuses like champion balance, trolls, and matchmaking.

Other times they will flat out deny that they did or said anything wrong. Demanding proof from Riot. They will claim that they dont talk in chat, earned their rank fairly, and never used scripts or hacks. Sometimes they will even talk about how long its been since they last were punished. Even claim that they never once received fair warning that they could be punished and that a permaban is just way to unfair.

Eventually they will move on to stating how much money they have spent on the game, and how they better get reimbursed. Even going as far as to threaten legal action. They will threaten Riot stating that they will never play the game again and that the player base will eventually leave as well. And finally, start talking about another Moba that is better anyways.

After all of this, normally the complaint thread will die or a Rioter will come one and smite the complainer with the power of pure ownage. Every once and a while a mistake will be found and the ban will be removed. But that is a very rare occurrence.

The Rules as I have understood them are: Its Riots house, their rules, and cursing won't get you banned, cursing at people can. Players that consistently troll will eventually get caught. But if you retaliate you are just as deserving of a ban as they are. Don't ask people to report players. Riot has a four tier punishment system, they do not negotiate punishments, and and insta ban means you must have really gone all out. Riot will not go into detail on bans to avoid giving away methods of identifying cheaters. You do not own your account, you simply are allowed to use it and if you choose, spend money on it. Don't tamper with the game or let other players use your account. Riot has the right to do basically whatever they feel is best. They are one of the biggest and most popular games in the world, and losing a player that cheated will in no way hurt their business. And lastly, you agreed to all of this every time you update the FREAKING GAME!

Is it really that hard to follow?

No, it's not difficult to follow the rules. But for some, they make it difficult. I really can't say why.

I have been playing for 5 years and never had anything close to a ban.

I have left exactly one game in all that time.. (There was a mix up in champ select and we had two junglers, I sat in fountain asking if I was mid or jungle, they finally told me I was jungler then mid stole my blue before I got there).

It is easy to... yell at the screen or whien to a friend about this guy and never say anything to them. you can be annoied without lashing out. I had a yasuo support today, "Hey, if you are going to call support, you better play support next time" "lol you think i am stupid, it's a normal" we won that game...

the next game the enemy team had a brat that threw a tantrum because they had an ashe support and was being beaten in lane. "Lol it's a normal try hard" "Playing well is not try hard" they, playing cait, bought nothing by amp tomes and ashe afked "Just because you lost your lane is not reason to ruin the enjoyment of others" " I don't give 17 fucks about losing" "yeah because people that don't care throw tantrums.. sure" This game we took the nexus in 20 min

Neither of these interactions are good, but I might of seething over here but I never got beyond passive agressive. don't play a game if you aren't in the mood to deal with people, people suck.

they only increased permaban to increase revenue, ban players, make them start over to make more money buying the same champs and skins they paid the first time around. Oh and their executive got busted for security fraud. gives you an idea what kind of greedy whores run the company.

Don't try to make this more than it is. Several Rioters have confirmed that the overwhelming majority of players have never been punished by the system. Of the remaining handful of percent, a miniscule proportion of THAT are permabans.

We're talking maybe a few thousand accounts worldwide out of the tens of millions of accounts.
