I'm finally switching to the other side.
If you pick a PURE troll position in a ranked game you should just be banned, maybe 24 hours first offense. I realize riot said years ago they don't support a meta but when 9/10 players in a game agree a troll pick lost a ranked game there should be something that can be done about it.
There is no reason your fun is more important than the other 9 players.

There is no enforced meta. Any champion can be played in any position. Champions are not required to go AD or AP. It does not matter if 9/10 people think it's a "troll pick" - there is no such thing. There is only trolling.
HavokDash1 votesThese people dont care, they feel THEY get to decide Who gets to play WHO in What role. They get to decide who thier team plays, They get to decide what thier team builds. If Their team doesnt conform to what THEY want, then that is grounds for a "Trolling" report. "You didnt play who/how I want, so you are trolling/greifing and will be reported. enjoy ur ban" This is Why I have such a hatred for the concept of "meta", because it churns out people like this. They stop thinking for themselves and will seek to ban/remove anyone who doesnt play according to their SUBJECTIVE idea of what is "current meta" Key word is SUBJECTIVE. Meta varies from person to person. But they will all seek to ban any player who doesnt go along with THEIR meta.

What is a "proper" build. Or what a "Real" support/mid/top. etc.
Nerull1 votesNo there isn't trolling, that's the problem. Picking AP Garen Support is not punishable if you don't intentionally feed and if you say kind things to your team. Granted the game that set me off isn't that bad, but the principle that he/she can go into a game, pick something that instantly makes the game nearly impossible for his/her team to carry and the only thing we can do is dodge and take the hit or lose and take the hit. Unless of course the other team has a similar person or are just drastically worse than there MMR.

There are obviously "troll" picks, nothing to argue about this.
But yeah, pls spread this stupid idea among the players, it will probably just encourage the trolls, GG!
Telephone Booth1 votesUnfortunately, league is a free to play video game. If you want serious, competitive games, stop playing with strangers. Anyone can play this shit. You can be as casual as you want about it. Make your own team and play with them if you want a serious competitive environment. Until then, you can be matched with people who don't give a fuck because it's A GAME with no real life consequences attached to it. So if you do give a fuck to the point where you want to ban non meta things, you should probably stop playing with casuals. Everytime you queue up with strangers, you need to lower your expectations. You chose to enter matchmaking to get matched with strangers, so you should be expecting casual players. It's a free to play game, not a tournament of pros. It's a leisurely activity.
