I have no reason to reconnect

So I'm sitting here with the reconnect button on my screen. I am 0/2/1 with a drake under my belt. I've set up a few kills that unfortunately did not net me any assist (timer op) but I'm PERFECTLY ok with that. What I am not ok with is that if I were to reconnect right this moment I would experience no LP gain even if I were to win, INSTEAD getting a leaverbuster for an act of god. I know my team is still winning as my duo is on the phone with me. Unfortunately I experienced a power surge and my router took forever to reconnect. It's now been 6 minutes since I've disconnected. You can argue "Reconnect for the sake of your team!" but I do not play ranked for any reason other than to climb. I do not feel any attachment to these players outside of my duo, who has given me leave to do what I want. Regardless of the honors I may have received were I to reconnect and fulfill my role as jungle, I would still be leaverbustered. The punishment I am going to unfortunately face will be the same regardless of how hard I struggle for that win. There is no incentive for me to reconnect as a player. I did not make this thread to complain but to make a proposition. I propose this, players who reconnect prompt an end game screen for all allies where they can vote to ABSOLVE the leaverbuster penalty. Not even concerned about the LP gain to be honest, but the option for the players in game to say "Yeah this player disconnected for 5+ minutes but he DID return and assist the team" would go far in incentivizing players like me to click that reconnect. As is there are other ways I choose to utilize my time.

Edit: As soon as I posted this my duo informed me my team lost. Completely winnable game.

Ughh... You sitting there contemplating whether to reconnect or not... dude. I'll probably get this post deleted for saying this, but it just reaks of whiney little bitch. Just fucking play the game you set out to play.

Also, if you disconnect and reconnect and win, it still counts as a loss?! I did not know. That ... seems a bit fucked.

I've disconnected and reconnected in the past to do things like fix internet speed and got the LP gain for the win (or the deduction for the loss) as well as no LeaverBuster punishment so I'm not sure why you would not receive any.

Beyond that -- LeaverBuster already gives you some leeway with accepting that things like your power going out does happen. It only punishes you if it's a frequent occurrence.
