Punish AFK!

Seriously, I am totally fed up with all these AFK players. I play ~3 games a day, and in one of them there is always an AFK on one side. Today, ALL three games were decided by an AFK player (2 wins 1 defeat for me).

Since many people brought this topic up and still punishments are not raised to a serious level, I will now repost a similar thread every day I got an AFK as a reminder to act. People may follow my example if they want. I know this is not the most beautiful way to raise awareness to this, but I am really, really desperate. I just don't know what else to do to convince Riot to change things. Tell me, please.

Names? And screenshots of games? You can get them some form of punishment. Follow up question : Did they say they were leaving due to bad teams? Or was it something like internet cutting out?

I don't think I am allowed to post the player names according to board's rules. So here are the censored screenshots. Why they quit? For the enemy team I can just guess because they lost lane. Ahri in game 3 just disconnected shortly after game started, saying nothing.

You can send the uncensored ones to riot support by opening a ticket. You won't know what happens to the players in question but it might be enough to get a manual review.

I appreciate the feedback. The thing is, AFK is a problem that exists since forever. I use the report system every time, but it just has zero impact. There is low priority queue as a punishment for notorious AFK players, and if I am really eager and open tickets, there MIGHT be a slim chance that 1 out of 10 AFK players I manually report (and investing a lot of time) get's a temp ban.

What I want to achieve is a more strict punishment for being AFK. I know that it's lenient because there are cases where you are unintendedly AFK, but that should happen so rarely that you could easily tighten up the punishments anyways. As I said, I have AFK players everyday (sometimes in the enemy team, but that is still very sad), so there needs to be a general solution, and the topic needs a much higher priority and awareness at Riot.

Good news is, Riot has already stated they're getting an updated system to get on frequent afk players starting in the new season. Supposed to have better detection. I don't recall the exact post but it involved Somme of the devs making accounts to use as a baseline for afk, inting,and trolling. Hopefully we get more details soon.

I've seen lots of threads from people being banned for toxicity. I've literally never seen anyone complain about the fact that he was banned for AFKing. (Except getting Leaverbuster, but that is not really a punishment.)

LB is indeed a punishment. There's tiers to it, same way there's a chat ban or two and then a 14 day ban before a perma for toxicity.

Having to wait about 15 mins before entering a game can be annoying, but in my opinion it does not reallly hurt. Imagine your little son behaves badly in the evening and you either tell him

a) if you don't behave, you go to bed without dinner b) if you don't behave, you get your dinner 15 mins later

Which option would likely work better?

He already has to wait until the game he left ends, so waiting is never an issue for an int-afk player,
