Who's to blame?

Alright, recent game. So My team was all normal in chat. Then when the game started Alistar went top and fed the enemy renekton. then he proceeded to feed each other lane in a row. So me being top, i decided to open up top, which seemed okay with my adc and sort of jungle. However my midlaner didnt want me to and then flamed me in chat and then tried to still win, even though it would be a 4v6. I didnt want to waste my time to I just went into my base and sort of afk'd (was still typing in chat). In the end, Everyone wanted to report Alistar, The enemy wanted to report My midlaner because she was wasting everyones time, And My midlaner wanted to report me because I opened up my lane. So would my Midlaner be in the wrong, or would i be? Right after the game it said i would be put into a 5 min queue(Absolute Horse Shit)

Is there an option for all three of you?

Alistar sounds like he was intentionally feeding. That's not cool, and should be reported.

Your mid laner was flaming you. That's not cool, and should be reported.

You were giving up a game not everyone was ready to give up by refusing to contribute or even try, and you didn't resort to the surrender vote -- the accepted measure of breaking that tie, and the only acceptable way of giving up. That's not cool, and should be reported.

All three of you took punishable actions that game.

"Opening" isn't allowed unless your entire team agrees to it. Sucks that Alistar was feeding, but even so, you aren't allowed to dictate how your midlaner should act.

By all means convince your midlaner to open with you, but protect yourself next time by at least farming your lane or poking the enemy. Any less than that is letting the Alistar player successfully troll you by baiting you into a reportable offense.

  • You -- for afk'ing at the nexus and/or any verbal toxicity in chat you may have exhibited (arguing, griefing, harassing, insulting others)
  • Alistar -- for (intentionally, I presume he was the support) feeding all the enemy lanes (again, on purpose, I presume)
  • Mid laner -- not for refusing to "open top/mid/whatever", but for any verbal abuse or chat toxicity (directed insults, etc)

Also, I assume most, if not everyone in the game, was throwing around "report x for y", am I right?

Asking for reports i.e. "report calling/begging" is not a thing; it's actually punishable when used as harassment and/or in conjunction with other forms of toxicity.

The reason being, the IFS (Instant Feedback System) only requires one report to flag a player, meaning if you see someone breaking the Summoner's Code, only you need report them, regardless whether or not anyone else notices and does so as well.

hmmmmmmmmm ... not enough information on alistar.

But opening a lane is punishable when your whole team does not agree to it.

If i were to pick just based on your information, I would have reported you for unsportsmanlike conduct and mid-laner for verbal abuse. For Alistar I'll need more information on how he was playing.

Definitely not midlaner.

Alistar, and Top.

Where is 4. All of the above?

imo:

  1. Midlaner shouldn't be flaming people
  2. No lane should ever be opened, especially not without the consent of everyone on your team / don't afk
  3. Shouldn't be Intentional Feeding

edit: ah The Djinn beat me to it.

Of all 3 of those the only reports that would have done anything would be the ones against your midlaner. Alistar would have the "just a bad game" excuse, and opening will be punished automatically by Leaverbuster regardless of any reports.

For how Alistar was playing, he went 0-17 when the game didn't end up being even 15 min. He would just continue to rotate to each lane and give them a kill(So yes it was inting). This was also a ranked game which was whta really made me mad in the first place. I personally believe only ali should've been reported
