Lux goes 1/17 and ints, I get reported for trying....

I was playing a simple ranked game and I am playing adc. I have a support lux that constantly goes in and throws a out a q when obviously we can not fight at the moment. I am being nice most of the time saying to be safe. Towards the end of the game I say "How'd you go 1/17." The top laner says "Enjoy your report" (to me) Am I the only one that thinks this isn't something to be reported over? Being frustrated over something you can not contain is reportable even when you don't say anything bad?

They definitely can be reported for anything that player wants to report for, you just can't be punished for trying.

I don't think he was punished he just came on here to tell us some said they were going to report him..... Shrug at least he hasn't claimed to of been punished yet.

Maybe you could check his chat logs and see if he needs one since he making such a big deal about a report.

Based on Tantram's past posts on threads like this, he already checked into the punishment/chat log. He and other Rioters with the ability to see, usually only post chat logs when either given permission, or when a player attempts to falsify them.

It is possible he is just noting that a reform card should be posted for discussion related to a punishment after reading the thread alone, but that isn't usually his M.O.

That said, asking somebody about how they got to the point they're at when they have a negative score is not necessary or helpful. Don't waste your time asking or arguing about the past, it cannot be changed, and reminding them is very likely to push them to despair or over the edge to flame or troll.

Asking why someone went 1/17 is not the same thing as trying. You obviously were not reported for trying. So please don't make false claims like that.

It still sucks that they said it, they certainly shouldn't have.

My point is that your claim is false. "I get reported for trying..." You were not reported for trying to win nor for giving tips, you were reported (validly or invalidly) for singling out a fellow player for their bad score.

Actually, I believe a red has said threatening and asking for reports IS punishable, however because it's low level toxicity it has be an extremely common thing for threatening/asking reports to trigger the system.

It is potentially considered harassment. In cases where it is not considered direct harassment it is still negative behavior.

It's a Lux support dude. They int or int their ADC because they have no peel for them or feed themselves or their adc to the enemy. Lux is only decent with a non-adc bot like with Morgana. Just a KSing gimmick.

Once you pop past a support veigar E or lux q the ADC is dead to rights almost guaranteed or at least the lux. Even in matchups against immobiles like Jhin a Lux can get bodied at level 1 if they miss their first Q.

There's better carry-ish mages to run bot that have better peel/utility. Like Xerath, Brand, Annie, Fiddle, and to some extent Ziggs.

Giving up their adc or position themselves to die every time they go to lane might as well be playing a soraka that never heals as far as ranked goes. Even roaming supports have less disadvantages for an ADC. Lux support will just kill bad players and look good on CoD paper, but anything srs it becomes nothing but sacrificing the ADC's game if the enemy team knows what they're doing.

There's no lux support korean masters/challengers for a reason, wake up NA.

Playing a sub-optimal champ is not inting. The rate you guys soften the word soon messing up an animation cancel or getting a skill windwalled is going to be inting. As it is you've already made the word meaningless.

You misunderstand. Playing a sub-optimal champ as support would -greatly- increase the odds of ADC survival compared to Lux support and thus isn't inting. There's a difference between offmeta and just feeding your whole bot lane to them.

People who think it's legit are just sheep or play Lux support themselves out of laziness for fill reasons in this meta. It's only 'good' if the enemy is extremely bad.

Getting reported means nothing if the report is invalid. You can report someone for any reason you want, but if it is not a reason Riot views as valid they will fairly accurately trash the report.

I won't comment on whether you deserved it (not enough info) or say that you're unjustified in being frustrated (not my place). However, I WILL say that typing something like that in chat isn't helping your teammates at all, nor does it really help your mental state. Venting TO the people who MADE you frustrated doesn't relieve you very effectively; I recommend you look for another outlet for your frustration, preferably someone close who you trust. [slayer-jinx-wink]

Who cares about their false reports. The system has the capability to filter out false reports, so unless you did something wrong , that report will be discarded.

On the flip side, asking / treatening for reports is considered harassment. So you can report him back for it, and when they do the same behavior over many games, they will get punished.
