Why do people make false claims about what others said?

So played another aram game. completely OUTPLAYED some ekko as xerath and i put "?" in all chat. lets be honest its not toxic. Then he outplayed me and did the same. we continued to do this every time we killed each other. all fun and games and then people who don't know what a mute button is simply start flaming both of us saying we are cringe our names suck and asking everyone to report us both for verbal abuse. BUT the funny thing is my lucian in after game chat started saying i was racist and insulted his mother (which i did not xd) Literally just did "?" and ":)". I really do not understand for what reason he said that but can anyone explain it?

Did you come here because you want us to tell you how bad people were mean to you, call them names to make you feel better?

I am sorry, I am normally not like this on boards and I post often lately, but this is just... I don't even know how to call this. You are not asking us about how report system works, because you are afraid they get you banned by ganging on you. You are not asking how to deal with that kind of players. You literally want us to tell you that people who lied about you are dicks... This is literally the only reason for this thread that I could find... Please tell me there is more.

Because they don't understand how the report system works and they think they'll get the enemy team to report you.

They probably will, but nothing will happen.

They probably think that the system works off number of reports and types of reports, so when they want to get somoene punished (for whatever reason), they would spew out lies in attempt to get others to report one person and get them banned.

Of course, the system doesn't work anywhere close to what they think, so they'll end up getting punished instead.
