The eternal hate on eternals.

Why are you people getting so fcking pissed off about eternals, like seriously. Never have I seen so many people hate on Riot so bad. I don't really mind eternals, want to know why. Because I am someone who likes knowing my stats. I like to know how good I am getting at my champ. It makes me (as an Ahri main) want to hit more charms, and when I have a set goal like that, it tends to be that I hit more charms. If you really hate eternals so bad, then don't f*cking buy them. It really is so simple. Riot is putting out there something for the people who are proud of their skills and want to show off even a little. It's nice knowing "Oh, this person has more mastery points than me but still doesn't have as many 'whatever you want to put in here' as me". People who flame Riot to holy hell are beings d!cks for no apparent reason other than "Oh I want you to work on Zoe because she can one shot me". Yall can flame me all you want and RIot, but there really is no point to doing it. Eternals are fine, it might even make more people enjoy the game more. Just wait for this stuff to come out before you flame. I also have to point out that, it's good for a company to indulge in other little things for their community, if all they are ever working on is coding the game to be more balanced, or the client to stop crashing, or other things constantly, it can get boring as fuck in your job. You have to think that, hey, these are people who want to let the community have more fun, but still make some money while doings so. It's just like any other job, keep the community happy while making some money.

After reading this I went to look up this Eternals thing. So it's a paywall to know stats that you'd know for free in any other type of game that released stats like this to players. Sounds greedy, and that's why people are hating on it. That's literally all there is, so I don't know why you're asking WHY people are hating on it, it's obviously that they're trying to get money out of something so basic as stats that normal game companies that do let players see their stats do for free. It's even a worse cash grab attempt than battle passes.

I'm pretty sure NO other game has had people pay for achievements, and some even give in game rewards FOR completing achievements that WERE free. See the problem yet? I mean I've made several achievements on Ark that I haven't paid for, and gotten plenty of in game skins that are given to me every time I die for dinosaurs, helmets, outfits, saddles, hair cuts, etc.

knowing your stats is fine. but just the way the video starts holy shit "for years you've been doing cool stuff in league" shows vayne top stunning someone into a wall with her e. really? thats the "coolest" thing you picked? and now you want me to pay so i can show off how many times i hit my e into a wall? IM SO COOL WITH THAT!

And how will you show it off when we just simply disable eternals on release date? Cuz I can assure you, everyone, who all hate rito for their stupid eternal idea will disable it and no one will see your e-peen, ever. Except other e-peen fighters, of course.

People like achievements but not to pay for them. I personally will disable them at the release and you will spend your money for nothing.

One of the Reasons Is that you have to pay for it which Is greedy as fk.

Some people like achievements. I don't... the only game I can think of where I've ever looked at my achievements was Minecraft. But other people do (or they wouldn't be a thing). If poeple want it that's up to them. Good for them for find a different way to enjoy the game.

Me, I'll just continue to play and enjoy league with the family as I always have.

Paying for goddamn achievements. That's all there is to it. No other game in existence has made it to where you need to pay for achievements. While tracking stats does take resources it should just be a cost of doing business in gaming, to show players their stats.

After reading some of the replies. I think people are just all up in arms about needing to pay for the simple stats.

I would pay for complexed stat tracking like Lee Sin's bicycle kick + knocking up other enemies within the kick back path, but probably not just how many bicycle kicks I landed.

There are probably 3 tiers of stats, the super easy which any pleb can achieve, the moderate which people can achieve with a bit of practice, and the super skill expressive ones where you have to be damn good at your champ to achieve, and it'snot achievable in every game. I'd pay for the skill expressive ones, but looking through the Eternal lists, I can see why people are unhappy, cos alot of the stuff they opted to track are easy stats.

Like .. why do I need to pay to track a 2 man knock up with my Zyra ult, my total plant dmg, and a long range root (fine, theres SOME skill expression there. More than the other two for sure). Any pleb can get those Eternals easily. Give me a tracking of how many skill shots I blocked with my plants, engages denied with maybe 3 man ult knock ups, multi-man roots, enemies revealed through my seeds or stuff that shows my true mastery more.

In the old client back in the good ol' days of season 1 or 2 or whatever, there was a tab for "achievements" that were to be added. took them almost 10 years and now they cost money.

Lol idek what eternals are. It doesnt affect me. Sounds like a dumb thing to hate on, when you could be like me, enjoy league, and not even know it exists. Like, its not being forced on me at all, so whats to hate? I do love stats though, so perhaps I will look into it. Ill probably pass on it though if you gotta pay.
