LoL Friends no access banned?

so this is a little complaint i've had for awhile i was able to get on LoL mobile while banned for awhile then when i get on 1 day awhile back it just errored out and signed me out now it keeps me in but doesnt connect to chat whereas when i go on my nonbanned account it shows my friends and i can freely chat to them

i guess riot punishes a bit more then they should HMM? i may be banned for only 14 days but we toxic players must take a stand for what is punishable and what is not you can take away our ranks but you cant take away our friends

just know we are not 1 we are many a legion

A banned account loses access to the game client, and the game client's chat. The fact that you were still logged in is an interesting glitch, but I imagine Riot's fix would be to make sure your mobile client log-in terminated the moment your ban was issued, as that seems to be the intended functionality (given that a banned player can't even log into the client, instead of simply banning them from using the store and playing the game).

ill let you all know i'm pissed people talk about unjust punishment but they havent seen this they would be outraged too

It's a 14 day ban, you'll have access to Leagues chat after that's done.

Besides, if they're friends (and not acquaintances) then you should have other means to contact them already established, such as voice chat, email, phone numbers, etc.

lemme tell you a quick story of a friend who got banned

though he hasnt come on since may of 2016 i still want to know what the fuck his new account name was but he was banned so he couldnt tell me

i thought of him less of an acquaintance and more of a friend but then i saw his 0 honors and knew there was no hope

because obviously riot doesnt like when toxic players reform i guess

On the top of the friends list on the new client, there's a person with a + next to them. You click that, then type in the summoner name of the person you want to add.

You can also add people who have linked their Facebook account to League, but I've never tried that.

I disagree. Insulting people is against the terms of the boards calling people "childish" is an insult and can lead to escalating or creating an argument figured a board moderator wouldn't violate them...

As Mars Ragnarok said, I'm merely providing information, not making a judgement.

Your League friends list access is a service Riot provides. It is a service they have a right to revoke. They are under no obligation to let you keep accessing their servers.

It's unfortunate that you cannot contact your friends but, if you have never bothered to get their non-League information, that isn't Riot's fault, nor is it above and beyond the normal punishment. It's not that you're "so toxic" they have to punish you more: you get the standard punishment, which is the inability to access their services with your previous account.

Personally, I find it to be the latter already. Your mileage may vary, but I think there's a difference between "safe space" and "community where bad-mouthing your fellow players is considered normal behavior." League doesn't restrict as much as you think -- if you don't feel inclined to insult people or use derogatory language, basically everything is allowed.

I'm assuming that they weren't the ones reporting you, so probably not.

The point is, though, that if those connections exist ONLY on League, and your League account is banned, Riot doesn't need to let you have special access to that information. Banned accounts are banned, end of story.

It's not a safety measure -- it's a consistent policy. Banned means banned from League-related services.

there's no reason to take away a players friends its not like my friends need a safespace or anything cause their feelings get hurt easily

if you want some real punishments go look at what they already have "loss of hextech, no ban appeals, loss of earned season rewards(which i think is totally bullshit)) and yeah thats riots already made punishments there are more i didnt point out but who cares when they get power fed with all the toxic players pissed off they wont know what to do

But weaker punishments = more toxicity. I think Riot has a really good balance for punishments, and all players should take into consideration the possible consequenses their actions have.

Furthermore, loss of rewards are 100% justified as you 100% knew how your actions would affect you going foward. "Don't be a dick and you won't be punished".

A lot of toxic people banding together to create demands for Riot won't do a thing, as Riot has already expressed that they don't want anything to do with toxic players and have the means to enforce that.
