Getting chat restricted by people that intentionally flamed to damage game play quality and reported

It would be nice if people that flamed all game just to tilt a player could not get a successful chat restriction on the victim based on the victims tilted defence despite still being far worse than the victim chat-wise. This game has a disappointing community sometimes, not all players but some are just out there to raise their own egos, and riot seems to like chat restricting people like me that use most of their messages to say good job to teammates or say a friendly 2Speedy4U in all chat when i escape a gank. Please consider a more reasonable approach to knowing who to punish, start with punishing the people that actually make games worse for people, not the trying players who were flamed. -Sincerely, Astorine

It's your responsibility not to flame back. ALL of us get flamed occasionally, but there's a reason only some of us get punished.

The best advice to give is to use the mute buttons and use the report button at the end of game. If you flame back, though, the system isn't going to discriminate; everyone who flames can get punished. Just stay calm, follow the summoner's code, and remember to report players who break it.

If it helps, my strategy when I get flamed is just to remember that flaming back can only be bad for me. There's virtually 0 chance that you're going to turn the other person around, and there's a good chance you'll end up punished yourself. Knowing this on the front end, and remembering it in the game, will save you from getting chat restrictions or worse.

or you could just mute them, not respond, and not get a chat restriction [sg-ahri-2]
