The right way to support

This is how a support should play. backing off so your ADC can get kills and letting them last hit. Why is it so hard for some people to understand how supports should operate?

also according to the community. I play a support. I go 1/6/19 with thresh, get adc fed. My teammates: You dont know how to play support, You dont know how to play league, uninstall! Me: ? Teammates: You only have 1 kill!

So...I dont know how to play support because I only managed to score 1 kill, who cares about the 19+ assists. WHo cares that I got my adc fed. The community says I dont know how to play support. Gee I wonder why more supports are abandoing everything to get more kills. Maybe because we get trashed and insulted if we arent "OP CARRY HARD!"
