Hey all,

I'm looking for a bit of constructive criticism. I'm in the process of creating a website that helps you see why you are the rank you are, and where you could be. The link is at the bottom of the post.

There's a lot of cosmetic changes needed. This is just something I threw together (design wise) to get the prototype working.

Is there anyone who is interested in seeing their stats, why they are the rank they are, what they could improve on, and how they match up against their lane opponent and a pro? See screenshot below.

Upon seeing your own report, please feel free to let me know what your opinion is. From the testing I've done, the numbers seem correct. However, anything you see in your report that seems off, let me know. Anything you don't see and would like to see, please feel free to request it.

A few things to note:

The website tries its best to detect if you're tanking or not. If it doesn't detect that you're tanking, yet you're playing the role of tank, it means you should have built more tanky.

The website will still report that you need MR/Armor when you're playing support. I'm toying with the idea of making this less essential for support as you will really only encounter other supports as your adversary. Countering them is pretty pointless armor/resist wise. Let me know what your thoughts on this are particularly, if you don't mind, please. I'd love to see what you've got to say regarding little nuances like this one.

Updates

Presently with the selective beta process, I thought it'd be a good time to bring up known bugs:

1: Sometimes a random champion will appear as your lane adversary in a match. Resolved 2: Some items do not actually properly register stat-wise. If you spot an item that adds armor, for example, and it says you have not built armor, please report it. 3: Support statistics need an overhaul. They'll be a bit inaccurate, and tips will not be entirely true. 4: Damage taken will be a bit skewed for soak-champs like Vladamir. 5: Some very unrealistic jumps are being predicted (like Silver to Challenger), especially when stats are dissected and you see your performance has been evaluated as sub-par. This is being evaluated and will be resolved in the near future. Please don't take this as anything more than a bug.

I like the feature where you can see CC time. I want to see it with my stats, when will you release it?

Very nice! Its not the most indepth but it is great at pointing out some things that are certainly helpful! Looking forward to seeing this developed beyond the current scope! And as mentioned before, taking warding into consideration would be great! I bookmarked it!

As far as cosmetics go, what are your plans for it? It'd be cool if you could rock the splash art from your most played champs. Might be a pain though.

Hello again. I see you've added some new features such as the per game rank analysis and removed the CC time. Im curious as to why im now predicted with mid Gold as my highest possible rank when all of my games but 2 are Plat or above, going as far as challenger level play in two and most being Diamond.

Also, in http://slashlaugh.com/?s=49960472&n=Frosch%20Senpai , 5th game from the bottom which is currently a Lulu game win, it seems to have not been able to detect an opponent.\

Edit: Also the first game currently a win on Thresh.

Edit2: and for that matter the last game, currently a win on Syndra vs Heimerdinger, shows Heimer building 12 items not including his 2 trinkets, several of which are AD items.

I have a bit of a gripe. It seems that every game that I end up losing, I get bottom bronze. Thing is, if i win, I suddenly get High Plat. But then I looked at some Masters and Challengers, and I could NOT stop laughing!!! EVERY SINGLE GAME SAYS BOTTOM BRONZE!!! Maybe we're not so bad after all!

Wow! Color me impressed, your picked up on my AP Ezreal going mid and compared me to the right opponent.

I know for me one of the things that keeps me where I am is I don't play enough ranked. Perhaps you could add some sort of "average days between games/days since last game" stat?

Edit: looked up a Diamond 5 friend and your stats day he's trending for low silver. Looks like things might need some work with higher elos

Dude, I give you mad props for your website; It's friggin' sweet!!

I find the information to match my own estimates regarding skill level in the three levels provided by the website. Furthermore, I like the presentation of the data and the form of accolades that describe exactly why you performed at the measured skill level. Very well done in my opinion. Nice! I'm definitely going to keep tabs on this :)

Hey there, in http://www.slashlaugh.com/?s=21675619&n=DeathsArt in the Thresh vs Blitzcrank game December 5th @ 2:34 AM it seems to not be detecting Locket of the Iron Solari as a Magic Resist item. The person is my friend and also says he had a Rammus game that wasnt detecting Sunfire Cape as an armor item.

Love where youre going with the site, graphics look great and its getting really nice with the chart and all. I do miss being able to see at a glance whether i won or lost a match without needing to open it. Maybe tint the graphics red on a loss or simply place "win" or "loss" on the collapsed info?

The bold part seems to be at odds with the rest of the message.

The matches on my report are all from like two weeks ago, and they all seem to be my poorer games. What's going on?

I've never done rank. It says I am low Bronze; but I know I would place gold when I rank (I win almost every gold in custom 1v1s, and have incredibly high win rates with my mains)

So I don't know how well it works for non-ranked players.

It doesnt seem to calculate CC time correctly, as my opponent always has thousands of seconds and I only have a couple hundred. Also, it doesnt seem to be able to rank my friend KrowSoulEater at all.

Looks neat and really does have some potential, problem is it seems a bit confused. It seems to rank games differently every time I hit refresh.

Example, my most recent game it says it is ranked "high silver" then high hit refresh, suddenly the exact same game and stats it ranked "high plat", and all I did was hit refresh. It also seems to rate me randomly.

Example of this is it rated my games, randomly said I was bronze (I'm not in bronze) and said if I continued my trend I would be low bronze. I was like...uh what? So I hit refresh, completely different. Same games, same graph, but below my games were suddenly rated higher, like what I stated above, and suddenly was rating me high silver (I'm currently silver 5, so nothing special). Just curious what's up with this as I'm not really trusting the stats here when hitting refresh seems to tell me two different things (sometimes very different) about the exact same games/stats.

Edit: Wanted to state, number 1 isn't resolved.

3 of the 10 games shown were showing matchups that I wasn't matched up against (I'm a huge stat nerd and keep track of my own games and those weren't my lane opponents), such as telling me I was matched up against mid laners multiple times saying I did worse when in those games I stomped my lane opponents but my mid laner super fed.

Seems there are still some kinks to work out but number one isn't fixed and the issues I stated above just make it confusing.

Edit 2:

there is also a really odd bug where for a few opponents it was showing them with two sets of items, like one line of items then a completely different grouping of items, as if it was for two different champions.

Places to much emphasis on KDA. This isn't CoD KDA doesn't win games objectives due despite what most of this retarded community thinks.

I am not a fan of how your website currently works. I feel like it pushes too much influence onto k/d/a when in some roles having a meh kda is good. If I am playing a tank I should be the first one of any of my teammates dead in a team fight. I also won't be getting much kills as a tank either.

It appears to somewhat take into account a predefined role of the champion you play, when instead it should be more champion specific. For instance see my attached screen shot. I played Janna that game and it gave me marks off because Thresh had more damage taken than me. Considering Janna sits on the backline while Thresh tanks the frontline, he should definitely have taken more damage than me.

Same goes for the marks it took off because Thresh dealt more damage than I did as Janna. Seriously? lol.

Another game I looked at I played Riven top and it chose my adversary as the TF mid. It then proceeded to tell me I was bronze Riven because I took more damage than TF did. Of course melee champions will take more damage than ranged.

Damage taken honestly shouldn't be used / compared to your adversary's. It criticised me for having more damage taken as jungle kha zix than the enemy jungle amumu just because kha zix is considered an assasin and therefore shouldn't be tanking damage.

Amumu had only 1 less death than me. If I have way more damage taken than my opponent, and yet our deaths are still comparable, it means I did a better job than him. I was able to absorb more damage than my opponent while still not dying. Deaths should absolutely matter when it comes to total damage taken.

I also like this one "Your gold earned this match was less than your adversarry's. Try farming more" even though my cs was double my adversarry's that game. If you lost the game you are likely to have less gold than your opponent unless you really outplayed your opponent. Global gold is strong.

Also your website doesn't track jungle cs, only lane cs. This vastly skews the results for junglers.

That is all I saw at a quick glance, hope that info helps make your website better.
