Allied targeting indicators (for when that support is trying to heal you)

Have you ever had a moment where you play as Soraka, you try to heal an ally with W (assume your ultimate is down), but he runs AWAY from you and dies? That is SO frustrating, especially since you can't do anything to prevent it.

The big problem in those situations is that you can't communicate to your ally that you are trying to heal him/her, unless you are using voice chat. This creates a lot of unnecessary barriers and more often than not leads to the teammates giving the supports a hard time for "sucking".

I would like to propose a UI change to address this. You know how when someone is targeting you, they have an orange outline? Well, what if there was a similar outline for when an ally is targeting you with a support spell/effect?

"Too much visual clutter?"

You could always make this customizable in options. Turn it off if you like, but don't come crying when you don't get the memo that Janna was trying to shield you.

"Too much work for Riot!"

Bad excuse. They should be working for their pay, and this is one way to do it!

I honestly don't see a real downside to this. Having allied targeting indicators would remove a LOT of grief for supports who have trouble with panicking allies.

Discuss, but please be civil.

The ever infamous low health team mate that runs into a fight while their nid chases them hoping to get a heal on.

I feel your pain.

"When attempting to activate an ability on a friendly champion that is out or range: Draw temporary green line between the 2 champions and give the assisted champion a message like "An ally is attempting to support you"
