Im my most humble, respectful opinions, i feel like female players of league have a degraded, negative image cast over them thanks to female streamers such as Kaceytron and the like whoring their bodies off while playing it, setting that as a standard image regarding female players. An amateur tournament for women players just feels like a bone being thrown at them because they can't/won't be taken seriously enough to have something more like say a spot in the LCS.

I AM a female player--Just speaking my mind, no hate... item 3151

In the same boat, girl. You're not alone. Esports =/= sports. There's really NO logical women why men and women can't stand toe to toe. Yeah, I understand that a well-built man can easily overpower a well-built woman, but computer games require 0 brawn.

I don't really want to think that women who present themselves as eye-candy to lure donations from gamers are ruining my reputation (I can ruin my own, thank you,) but on the other hand... if I decided to start a stream today, and show my face in the stream like every other streamer, male or female, I would not be taken seriously. I could wear pj's and no makeup, but my face is proportioned properly, which makes me an attention whore. I know this because I've made guest appearances on a few other peoples' streams and the floodgates of hatred opened immediately. I felt legitimately BAD for how my face made my friends' fans feel. But why? It's clearly a ridiculous assumption to lump all girls together. Hell, we even have a stereotype that we all hate each other. That would imply that we're not quite all the same.

But then again, I don't see "ovaries" as a requirement for this tournament. Is the name a joke? Or...?

I know several female streamers who have webcams who are taken perfectly seriously... simply because they don't let the fact that they are female dictate their stream's tone.

I think the important part is the tone of the community you build for your stream, not your gender.

checked out her twitch

if by degrading and disrespectful image you mean making league chicks seem like hideous feminazi landwhales, then yeah, she does exactly that. My god she is filthy and disgusting. gonna go puke now. :o

gr8job2 votes

Well, Kaceytron's a poor example, because her stream is essentially a satire of the stereotypes of women in gaming. It's effective, but she doesn't strike me as particularly intelligent, and it does nothing to improve this situation. It could be done a lot better (by me!!! But oops I have small breasts). She makes a good deal of money from it though, so uh good for her.

do you have a twitch?

Nope, for the reasons stated above, and because my country-fried internet can't handle more than one thing at a time. If my skills and knowledge of the game grow to what I perceive to be a respectable level, expect to see me in the future.

Ironically, in this thread you're coming across a bit like a cyberbully and you're spamming. So perhaps you should practice what you preach and be the bigger person here.

am i really? did i threaten him with posting his home address, threaten him with hackers, make fun of someone being suicidal, which ironically is everything he has done. or am i here stating a fact. i came here to a message board stated a fact and left it be. :3 tell me dear what brings you here?

What brings me here? I saw the thread near the top of the list and saw someone being a hypocrite, so figured it would be a good idea to call them on it and report them for it.

Stop spamming. Please. If you have proof of cyberbullying - which is a legitimate crime - go to the police. If you're just trying to ruin someone's reputation out of spite, then just give it up, you're just making yourself look worse.

gambei1 votes

o.o im being a hypocrite? how so, XD as for spite i do not do things out of spite but like you said you are a new admin so how can you place your 2 cents into it. its amusing how you bring up ruining a reputation, see as an admin of a page you use a persona in your case its leesin, so unless i sit here posting his real name etc what reputation is getting ruined the person or his real rep, XD but lets continue what is your rebuttal

I have literally nothing to do with this facebook group - hell I don't even have a facebook profile nor do I play LoL anymore. I'm just a bystander who saw you spamming while accusing someone else of spamming... and attacking someone else's credibility with petty insults and accusing them of cyberbullying. That's hypocrisy.

Again, if you have REAL PROOF, go to the police. If you don't, then it's just speculation and you're just being petty.

Either way, posting in this thread is pointless for you, so please just stop.

This tournament has nothing to do with gender. This is NOT an all women's tournament.

(The page's name is LoL Girl Power, Males can participate too)

The only thing about this tournament that concerns gender is the name of the host, "LoL Girl Power" which is promoting female players and growth in League of Legends.

I understand the struggle of being a girl in video games - I myself am a female streamer; but please don't make this a ground to vent your frustrations about female streamers. This isn't the place for it.

To be fair to the people who posted prior to this... the OP EDITED that line into the main post. It wasn't there initially, so it was only logical to assume a gender requirement based off of the title. Which is why people started off posting about that subject. But ya, I agree it's not really an appropriate place to go too far into it.

I was never even venting any frustrations i had about anything. I made a statement about my feelings and said nothing more. There's nothing more to be read into than that. I wasn't venting, or ranting and wanting to believe that doesn't make it true.

This isn't the place for being presumptuous when you misunderstand someones intentions completely. Thank you very much.
