I'm a diamond 5 support main.

You need sightstone + sweeper upgraded into oracle.

If it works for you, by all means keep using it. Likewise, my strats are working very well for me so I'm going to hold off on changing them for a while

it's not that it works for me, it's that it works for everyone, at every elo. It is incompetent for a support to not build it.

Including in bronze, where warding is nearly non-existent, a +10 ward differential translates to a +10% winrate. Vision is broken. You can adjust the graph to see different elos to see that every support in every situation gets a sightstone and upgrades a sweeper into an oracle.

You can also check probuilds.net and see every pro do the same.

No question you can win games in bronze without it, but your "lucky streak" as you call it will soon hit a wall if you don't build correctly.

Thats bullshit. Its advantageous to have sightstone, but not always a must. One of huge advantages over upgraded trinket is that you can use sightstone to gain vision + sweeper to deny vision. Since his opponents arent really putting many wards, he doesnt really have to invest in sightstone

Bronze 5 strats are different then even silver let alone diamond. Archon X is right. However in Bronze 5 Cheese works better.

If I see a Janna, I wait for the tornado to pass before returning to watching for my opening. Early game, Janna cant afford to spam tornadoes just to zone me off her ADC

Janna should wait for your e and then tornado you. It will interrupt the e's pull effect. And is basically a guaranteed hit.

Typically, Jannas I lane against just use tornadoes to zone in general. Remember I'm in Bronze 5 but I don't have the exact mentality of one

Um, there are reasons you are in bronze... this said those stats seem to me that your team is carrying you. Don't worry the streak will end.

Dont underestimate yourself. Its not luck. Leona takes effort to master and seems like u are on a right path. Good luck! Also go for a bit more CDR. Maybe Frozen Heart.

It does take effort. You gotta know when to rush in with E > Q, or whemn to just zone them a bit and save your Q for letting your ADC decide for themselves if theyre at low HP. Leona's kit helps her go all-in and lock down several targets while the rest of her team opens fire for tons of damage thanks to her passive

Yo, my go-to support is Leona, and I disagree with your assertion that she takes skill. She might be the single most aggressive champion in the game, and all the player needs is to know when to go hard and when not to. That's pretty much it, and it's not even a difficult judgement call to make.

Are you and your carry at similar health to your lane opponents? Go hard in the motherfucking paint.

Are you significantly weaker? Wait for a gank, then you go hard and you die for that double kill.

Does the enemy have an effective disengage? Harass; don't go hard.

For everything else it's zone and peel as appropriate.

If you're following these simple rules, and your lane isn't an oppressive hellhole for the enemies, it's probably because your carry is a quivering fuckboy who can't keep up with you.

No, but for real, Leona is easy.
