Basic question, not sure if someone, or riot has said anything about this, but I was reading up on the rune thing, and one thing caught my eye. we RP/IP for runes, and if the runes are going to be changed my question is: Will we keep the runes we have, or be given ip for them back? How does riot plan on handling this?

I think they will refund any runes possessed atm.
you can't buy runes with rp....
but previously they have refunded runes when they changed them. they deleted dodge runes at end of S1? or maybe s2, can't remember when jax was reworked. anyway, you got the ip back for them. this will likely be similar.

This was a question i had in mind as well. I sincerely hope they choose to refund us the IP points and let us choose from the new list ourselves, as opposed to just switching to a different rune that may not necessarily coincide with our planned character builds. I hope that this question will be "officially" answered soon because i don't want to buy anymore runes until i am sure of the outcome.
we need % penetration runes with the mastery changes. That would be awesome.
