Challenger smite zed? Thoughts?

Ive been thinking about the whole smite ezreal and wondering if it works with any other champ. Last night i tried challenger smite zed, im not the best zed player so i can judge it too well. I got pretty fed though after the game ended I really didnt do that much damage.

Womdering if anyone else has tried this and was successful.
