I meant to make this post a while ago but completely forgot. anyhow, I finished my placements for the first time a few months ago and got Silver V! Rito obviously doesn't want me to experience the hell that is bronze and instead threw me into the unclimbable silver rank. (Seriously though, if I see another boosted Riven or Yasuo-) I'm hoping to climb to Gold by the end of the season, wish me luck!

Default MMR is Silver III. You actually need extra chromosomes to end up in Bronze off placements on a fresh account.

Placements typically place people too high. You belong in bronze and will fall there if you play more games. You are losing more games than you are winning and for some reason new players start with a mid-silver mmr. The fact that you are silver 5 says that your mmr has already fallen since you started playing ranked.
