I know why Anivia is a blue block in the forum right now

She's champion 34, so the spaghetti code is reading her champ number as a command and keeps glitching and putting mordekaiser hentai where her icon is supposed to be. no one wants to see that, so they're just censoring her icon until they can hire someone who knows how to code. no need to be alarmed, folks.

The meme gods are everywhere on these boards, you'll realize soon enough that its nothing special (which is exactly why its special at the same time)

I wonder who's champion 1? Annie ok

Anidan1 votes

Good ol' Annie. One of the first 4 champions designed for League; the other 3 at that same time being Singed, old Sion, and Sivir. Think TF and Lee Sin were the next two.

Danjeng1 votes

Lee Sin was released in 2011, and his kit would be too flashy for something in alpha.

Anidan1 votes

Lee Sin was released in 2011, you're right: but he was designed back in about the time Twisted Fate was. The Traditional Lee Sin skin wasn't called "Traditional" because it was something to do with his homeland or upbringing, it's because that was his original design. His kit was outlined back then and even coded for, but it wasn't released until a long time afterward.

"Blind Monk" was something people questioned why it hadn't been released back in 2010, for instance, since people had known of its existence since the beginning of the game.

Wow! The more you know! So he was like the original Aurelion Sol hype?

Anidan1 votes

Yeah, pretty much!

Other champions that had some sort of predecessor like that are Elise (Priscilla, The Spider Queen), Aurelion Sol (Ao Shin) and possibly Swain (Tabu, the Voodoo Shaman) if memory serves me correctly.

League has an interesting history with that kind of thing, alongside various cancelled champions (Well, Omen, Averdrian, Gavid, and Rob Blackblade). When you're around League a really long time you start to pick up bits of some of its ancient history, especially when you've been acquainted with it since Season 1.. lol

I'm kind of new-ish. I got introduced to LoL in S2, but I took a hiatus S3 and S4 and got back into it in mid S5. My welcome back gift was being greeted by a "new" champion (I haven't seen him before) called Yasuo in lane, along with a lovely class known as Juggernauts.

I thought Ashe was the first... ok

Anidan1 votes

Nope. A rioter confirmed that, actually back on ye olde forums. The first 4, in no particular order, were Singed, Annie, Sion and Sivir.
