As much as I love playing Summoner's Rift and Twisted Treeline ranked, I also love playing ARAM and Dominion, and i'm sure there are others out there that love playing these game modes too, and my thought was "Wouldn't ranked ARAM be amazing, I can see who's my best champion on the mode and other stats, etc. etc." I think it would just be AWESOME if we could get that! What do you guys think?
Ranked ARAM... I can already taste the queue-dodging, the raging, the venomous fury. I can see the smurf accounts with 15 hand-picked champions lined up to participate. I can hear the cries of the anguished veterans who are punished for owning champions who aren't good in ARAM. This is a horrible idea and I don't like it.

No, not ranked ARAM. But ranked Howling Abyss, in other words ranked All Draft all Mid ADAM. With proper picks and bans team comps suitable for the map. No stacked teams with Nidalee, Varus, Sona, Heimer, and Sejuani on one side with Darius, Gangplank, Evelynn, Rengar, and Jax on the other.
a ranked ARAM would be cool as long as it didnt effect your regular ranked which it shouldnt i think that it would super cool but tricky cuz its all luck on who you get lol

The former reason for not doing this is that they didn't want the non-classic maps to drive balance decisions, so these maps have been left in ranked limbo. Seeing as Riot's started map specific balancing... I really would like some ranked Dominion (ranked murder bridge is icing on that cake).

I disagree, this is a game mode about randomness, and a lot times, skill plays less of a part then what champions the other team actually gets. Although I think it would be a bad idea to be rated on how you play ARAMs, and for your win/lost rate to be tracked, I do like the idea of it tracking your stats on champions in all ARAMs in general. But why just ARAMs? I think that even for normal games on Summoners Rift, and Twisted treeline that all of those stats should be tracked, if its only data fun to look at and not really a true estimate of your skill or performance. I like the idea of these stats being tracked and for me to be able to view them, but making a ranked mode of anything implies a certain amount of seriousness, that is underachieve due to its very random nature. I do however really like the idea of the stat tracking in all game modes!

I think it would e a good idea... But once in a while people will disconnect just because thy get a horrible champion and they find playing the game useless. In my opinion though, would try it out if it was possible :^]

As long as people don't take the Ranked ARAM too seriously. I wouldn't want my ranking to suffer (once I'm 30) because I got Poppy, then Warwick, then Alistar, then Yi, then Garen, then Teemo, then Warwick again.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't like a Ranked ARAM game mainly because it'd be too luck based and you could either form a really good team comp, or a horrible one. Rnak games is all about 'srs bizness,' and people would rather play a rank game that let's them challenge others in a non randomized area, as well as be in control of the situation.
If you're going to play for fun, I don't see why you can't continue to play regular ARAM. That's what ARAM is mainly about, right? lol
Having ranked Arams would be more to luck than anything duo to the fact that its all random champions. Also, you'd have to disable the ability to get free to plays when you went into Ranked and I'm not sure Riot would do that. Same issue with Dominion really, you can ban out the op champions like Yi and Teemo but its still all about luck, especially in solo Q with those type of ranked games because of your team comp and who wants to go where and such. You don't get a lot of teamfights in Dominion and in Aram its all about luck on who has what champion. The thing is with Aram its one straight lane, champions like Lux, Ezreal, Draven, Nidalee, Ashe, Blitz, Ahri, Corki, etc, etc, are all pretty op in Aram simply because it takes no skill to aim their ulti's in a straight lane.
I like the idea as me and my friends do play a lot of Aram (Only occasionally Dominion if we really want to) but I can see a lot of flaws with it and I think to make it fair they would need to insta ban or remove a lot of champions from that map. 70% of Games that contain Lux or Nidalee in Aram have the winning team with the Lux or Nidalee simply because Lux fires a LAZOOOOOOR and Nidalee has a straight line to hit in a champion. Even first time players with those champions do well with them on Aram.

You are completely ignoring the origin and point of arams. Arams are a silly game mode where nothing matters, it can be extremely unfair at times, and everyone derps around.
It is impossible to balance it to make it fair for ranked play.
So the prerequisite's would be:
Level 30 (Duh)
Own all champions
Be in good standing and considered non-toxic (30 or negative/lost less Tribunal cases)
the pick ban phase will be back and forth one at a time 15 seconds each. (turn will end once ban is completed)
Everyone gets to ban one champion then all are blocked except the random button and you can only hit it once(no re-rolls)
If you fail to click the random button a random champion will be assigned(
)
If you fail to ban on your turn a random champion will be banned( )
