Is there really a community? I never got in on it.
Someone back me up on this. I started League three years ago with one other guy. And neither of us ever actually got into meeting other people in the League community, outside of the people you got queued with, obviously.
But thinking back on it, and asking myself why I play League... I really got to asking who gives a fuck about me being here in the first place.
I used to have a lot of League friends, but then they stopped talking to me, or I stopped talking to them because they were never on.
Now I'm down to two, and one of them spends more time playing Monster Hunter and Binding of Isaac rather than League.
The other is a Diamond who pretty much only spends his time working on getting higher in Diamond, or at least that's the case when he gets on. He only ever talks to me if I talk to him, if you understand that situation.
But is that really the end of what the League community is? Or am I just not able to be a part of the League community because I can't afford to go to the cons or the championships? Or to get a better computer?
Or maybe it's something baser and more hurtful? Am I not a part of the League community because I don't have boobs? Or because I just plain suck at League? Or because I don't chase after boobs? (I'm gay, and taken)
What's the point of the community being something that can be loved when there are people scattered among the edges of like homeless people in the cold watching the happy people laughing and partying inside of a warm house?
This was more of a rant, than anything, but comments are loved, whoever you might be. I can't be the only one who's been left in the cold. Especially this season.
