I am a mid lane main, and I'm looking to buy an ap mid laner that has mid-long range, multiple cc's(a stun included), and waveclear. I want the champion to have an incredibly high skillcap, like Syndra or Cassiopeia. Lastly, I don't care if the champion lacks an escape or not. I prefer a mix of burst and dps. Right now I'm leaning towards Xerath, Syndra, and Azir.
Anivias not bad, she has incredible burst, sustained damage, a stun on her q, a wall, and an egg in case u get caught out or ganked in lane.
I personally would recommend Viktor, as he seems similar to what you are looking for.
He has amazing waveclear with just his augmented E, has pretty solid range (might be a little bit short if you want to use more than one ability from long range), has both a slow and a stun (although they are both tacked into one ability), and has a really large mix of both burst and DPS.
He also has a high skillcap between placing his W, using his E and R, and knowing when to purchase your augments at different times in the game.
He might not be perfect for you, but I recommend that you give him a shot at least once or twice, and see how you like him. He's also free this week, so that is a perfect time to try him out.
