STILL shielded from demotion?

I recently won my promos to get promoted to silver, and I've been struggling somewhat to get off the ground in silver 5. I noticed after one loss that I was being shielded from demotion, and having never seen this before, I looked it up.

Apparently you get a demotion shield for 3 games after jumping up a tier, and 10 games after jumping up a league. Thing is, I've played more than 10 games in silver 5 and I still have the shield. Can anybody explain why?
