When you main a champ, do you mean exclusively one champ? or can you have multiple mains. The definition for a main is a champ you have a lot of experience with. Example would be I main zyra and soraka. Each has different play styles but i play both an incredible amount and have gotten an massive amount of experience with. Please leave an answer so I can get my facts straight.
I try to stay on top of the support meta and adjust accordingly.
My path this season to high plat has been somewhat Sona to Nami to Leona to Janna to Braum to Soraka to Alistar.
Your main is the champion you try to play every game. You will of course need to know other champions in case your champ gets banned or if your champ can't do the role you get.
Main means who you're best/have most fun with
It doesn't mean you have to only play them.
I guess you can have more than one main. Usually though its one for each role.

Ashe, janna, Garen, Shyvana (might get replaced by kindred)
and then I have back ups
Lux, Cait, Sona, Wu, and Vi
A main is someone you would probably call among your best and/or favorite champs. You can have multiple, but it's oftentimes one-two.
i don't think the definition matters so much, i think generally a "main" refers to a champ that you're most confident with. like, i'll pick zyra as a support into just about any matchup and win it (granted, i'm low elo, so it's not a great example, cause everyone is bad, but the point is still well taken). to answer your question more directly: i would absolutely say you can have multiple mains. in fact, if you only main one champion, it kind of makes you less effective as a player.
I think you can have more than one main. Personally I'd say I've got three, Karma, Ziggs, Shaco, and I'm working on perfecting my Bard.
