Buff spell vamp for us by other ap champions

Besides swain,vladimer, and mord i feel riot should tweak the way spell vamp works so other ap champions can get use out of it as well. since spell vamp states that's abilities it heals for a % of the damage done yet with ap champions i have tried spell vamp items on like viktor and such i see no spellvamp healing, so why only limit the effects to only work for a very very select few of ap champions. Akali benefits a little from spell vamp but she also uses lifesteal too but my point is that if an ap champion has spell vamp he should be noticing health gain when using his ability combos that deal a very strong amount of damage. i could see how it could be a broken effect on champions like veigar who can almost if not 1 shot people with his R, but still i feel spell vamp feature should be looked into reworking so it gets more use for more champions.

It's a niche item. I wouldn't build crit chance on Darius (even though he's an AD fighter) and i wouldnt build spell vamp on veigar (even though hes an AP caster)

Burst casters generally won't see the effects. As they don't really do all that much damage. It's just all front loaded, so it can still kill people. Kill people and they'll do 0 damage to you..which is better than healing. Spell vamp works better for dps casters, who are usually forced to tank through some damage before they can deal any of theirs out, then they deal out damage while healing back up.

If you're having trouble sustaining/surviving on a burst caster, work on positioning, or build a more tanky/ap item ( item 3157 item 3040 item 3027 item 3001 item 3060 item 3174 ) other than spell vamp.

You realize Vlad and Swain are so hard to deal with because of spell vamp and the poor state of Magic resistant items. If you were to buff Spell Vamp I want my force of nature back!

Morde doesn't even notice spell vamp anymore. Three of his abilities only proc a third of its power. Seriously. You can check for yourself about Morde's Q. It only procs a third. You get 5% of the damage dealt. There's a reason why you won't see Gunblade or WotA on Morde anymore besides the fact he doesn't even need it.

Vamp is more just used for DPS mages like Cass. It actually works wonderfully with her since her passive gives 25% CDR, Masteries give 5%, so WotA can give you the last 10% on top of healing you for 15% of your E's damage. Then there's Nunu if you want to be a real douche when you press Q on a minion or monster. The old jungle item plus Nunu had to be nerfed back then because of Nunu's 500+ healing off of Q'ing a monster after level 9. lol. Kayle used to do well with it until her E got nerfed because of Nashor's Tooth being too strong of an item for her and unlike her E, Nashor's doesn't proc vamp.

Buuuuuut honestly, most AP champs can't use it because it doesn't do much for them. Why? They all do AoE damage nowadays. When was the last time we had a single target mage? Even Azir's soldiers are considered AoE. Heck, the only champ right now that does get a WotA is Vlad, but it's not because the item is bad, it's because AP champions are all AoE. The few that aren't are either one hit wonders (LeBlanc and Fizz) or they're too OP to be allowed to scale with it properly (Morde's Q). Then there's Akali who simply scales better with a Gunblade for obvious reasons.

Maybe one day we'll get a single target DPS mage that uses single target abilities, no AoE's, but that... That won't ever happen.
