I For one, feel sorry for Riot.

They created a game far more entertaining then anything I have ever played. They, in my opinion have more respect for the community then any other company I have seen.

They give special offers, great new game modes and even awesome events. Although, for some that is not enough. As soon as the servers go down everyone always whines and complains and curses Riot about it.

I have seen countless posts that they will " Lose people" over it. WHY in the hell is that even something that should be said? Riot does not choose for problems to happen, but they do. Does anyone even realize ( that says these sorts of things) that League of Legends is a very complex game? How many different things are going on at once? I mean, shit happens, go outside, read a book and wait as its a 100% guarantee that they are working on it.

Sorry, but I am just fed up with these useless posts that complain about something out of their control . Thank you Riot for bringing a community together and making such a wonderful experience in my life.

I can go on and say many of different arguments but I am probably already embarrassing myself.

Rant over, love you Riot.

So, why is it Riot doesnt take down the servers for weekly maintenance? I always see servers up and running during this time. How are they doing proper maintenance if the servers are still running? This would allow them to do proper checks of equipment and do any updates needed to the servers if theyd just take them down once a week.

I'm inclined to think those kind of people are few and far between. Sure, the bugs and firewall nonsense are incredibly annoying, but we all know Rito is doing their best to fix these problems. I like to think of all these complaints as people just expressing their innate desire to play League, but in a really crude and childish way.

OPTIMISM.

While i enjoy this game, to be honest i am far from feeling sorry for them at this point. The game has been out for over 5 years. Problems like this is nothing new for this game. while it doesnt happen as often when it hits full force like this it only then gets fixed, and to me this is the real problem! Riot has had more than enough time to fix any problem this game has. especially when problems have existed since Beta. there really is no excuse as to why server mess up most of the time, and nothing gets down about it till something like this happens where most people cannot log in, when its a problem to some people when the servers are up and running normally!

They shouldnt have to wait till the problem gets worse to fix it. if there is a problem most people/company try and fix it asap. but for what ever reason Riot doesnt do that. if that was the case lag especially as badly as it has been in the last few weeks/months would have been fix by upgrading their servers since this game is no longer "indie". i feel like they have that sense that this is some "underground" game. thus their servers (which have only been upgraded recently i might add) hasnt been up to date. even with the updated servers people are still having problems.

Thats not including East coast people. sadly they still have to suffer to this. most of the time making the game unplayable, and yet we still see no issue on what is being done about it. the most logical: making an east coast server isnt going to happen or else in the 5+ years this game has been out we would have see some sort of progress.

All in all while i still enjoy this game its pretty clear that the people running the company/game doesnt take it as serious as they have in the past. its like they are still living the before-times when the game wasnt too big and thus problems like this werent taken as seriously or wasnt too big of a problem to get it does. Now that times have change it time to take this game to its full potential!

Aha! The one white knight. I've found you. I knew I'd find you among all the rage posts.

Problem is, people are always playing. Also, you have an opinion about weekly downtime i respect that. You have to wonder though, people rage that league goes down every few months for a few hours because of unexpected problems, but to me that is better then every week, even if it is scheduled.

UberZanc12/22/2014, 4:44:22 AM1 votes

People are always playing WoW. That doesnt stop blizzard from doing scheduled maintenance to keep there servers running smoothly. People should just realize if they want a better play experience with less lag and disconnects, to let a game company take the necessary steps to do weekly/biweekly/monthly maintenance on there equipment. All Riot has to do is say, hey we are scheduling maintenance for Wed. Dec 24th from x time to x time. And people can either bitch and moan about it or do other things like go outside or hang with friends during this time. Its not rocket science. Thought youd think it was with as many problems as ive seen Riot have with server issues.
