Promos

So, how do you get paired up with people in the Ten Promos? Is it the same as regular ranked? Cause i got screwed over hard with the teams that I had. Every game they had at least one plat player and on mine they were either gold or silver. I dropped to G3 pre and dropped to S3 in the promos. I'm only frustrated because silver and gold are hell to get out of.
