About Akali and Katarina

You know, I was thinking the other day, because I don't play them very often but I always forget that kat/akali are AP or AD.

So I started thinking, why do I always forget what they are, even though they are both AP. I always forget because it just makes so much sense for them to be AD than AP. I mean, they're not "mages". They are assassins hat use swords/knives/blades and crazy ninja moves. Out of all the champions they have those 2 just don't make sense to me. That would be like Talon also being AP. They are all similar, I just think it makes more sense being AD for their character design.

I'm not saying they need to change it, its too late to make that big of a change in them. It's just a random thought I had about it and wanted to hear others' opinions on the matter.

Akali used to be OP as fuck if played as AD, but they have changed a lot of items that worked well with her, so it doesn't work nearly as well. I used to get pentakill after pentakill :o but that was a couple seasons ago

And as for Katarina, you probably get her mixed up because of Fiora. Very similar ult, just AP vs AD. A bit of health and thornmail deals with Fiora well, as well as their ADC, etc. but Kat is a different story. If she gets fed, you have to build to counter her, which, unfortunately, can leave you pretty open to AD characters on the enemy team.

It's not really that. it's the fact their character design is meant to be an assassin rather than a mage. Not that there can't be mages that are assassins, but those 2 definitely aren't "mages"

It's not so much how they work in game but more about what they are designed to be. You see what they look like and it just spells out physical damage. You know? :P

Yeah. But Like I've said, Kat, Akali and talon are all similar. Just Talon being the odd one out being AD but makes so much more sense. So I'd imagine them buildind similar to him.

I think that Kata would be really interesting as an AD caster. In my opinion, the only reason she isn't is that they didn't really have those when they made her...

I think if she ever gets a major rework, she SHOULD be AD.
