Dear Riot, I would like to politely ask you if you can fix your ranking system. In my experience playing this game I had a great time and still want many more to come. Its just your system doesn't place people in the right division at all. I did great with my provisionals won 9/10 of them and got placed into bronze 2, then my girlfriends younger sister went support all her games won 3/10 did horrible the whole time and got placed in silver 5 how does that work. If you fixed your system alot more people would like to and enjoy ranked games and try to succeed from the placement they are put in. I am done with my rant and I will thank you for letting me its a privilege to play your game and It will always have a place in my heart. That is all

I get that it is going to place you depending not only on your win/loss but also the quality of the other players in your matches. From the sounds of things your matches probably started at bronze 5, slowly moved up to bronze 1 (where you lost) and then you proceeded to win below bronze 1 and since you lost there it capped you. Your gfs sister probably won her first match with silver 5 and it floored her there even though she lost many others.

If the player has no control over the quality of other players in their placement matches though, this makes no sense... The placement system should start you at your normal mmr (or everyone at the same level, say silver 4) and adjust up or down for each win or loss (with accelerated movement for streaks, but no caps! ).

It has to do with MMR and how you do in Normal games as well.

The thing is, I don't really care about convincing you. The only thing that I know I'm doing is reporting you. Chill out, it's boards. No need to call people idiots.
