If you are at 0 LP and you lose a game, it drops you back down a level?

I'm just curious. Finally got to B4 after 6 series of dc's, and I go win/loss/win/loss/loss and it drops me to b5 again? I can see 3 losses at 0 LP and you drop but ONE? ONE! Thanks rito! Guess I'll go do 6 more series of dc's and get moved back up. I know this is Bronze and many will laugh but took me forever to move up to B4 with sooooo many dc's on my series only. So yeah, it's frustrating to get knocked back down after one loss at 0 LP when I lead my team in damage and kills.

Actually it doesn't matter if you lose a game when you are at 0 lp what matters is how many games in a row you have lost for example 5 or 6 and if you lose one more when you have at least 15 lp it drops you a tier(thats what happend to me and i fall to plat 4 from plat 3)

It depends on your mmr. If you have a low mmr, then your odds of dropping when you hit 0 points is pretty high. If you have a high mmr, you can lose repeatedly at 0 points (I had an account that lost about 10 at 0 in a row) without dropping.

Yea, as Cheesecakethecat said, it is completely dependent on your MMR.

If you are Bronze 5 with Bronze 4 MMR then you get good LP gains in Bronze 5. If you are Bronze 4 with Bronze 4 MMR then it will only take a few losses to get your MMR back to Bronze 5. If you are Bronze 4 and at 0 LP after a loss and the loss put you in the Bronze 5 MMR range then 1 single loss will bring you back to Bronze 5.

Like I think Bronze 4 MMR is 950. If you are at Bronze 4 0 LP and your MMR is 960 then you might beable to lose 1 more at 0 LP before you drop. If you are at Bronze 4 0 LP and your MMR is 949 then a single loss will drop you.

General rule of thumb I have seen and follow is this. Once you win promos and you are first at 0 lp you can lose like 5-6 games in a row before being demoted. However, if you win a game after winning promos and then get back down to 0 lp you can only lose 1 before being demoted.

LIke others said it depends on your mmr but for the average player once you get some lp in a division and then drop down to 0 lp if you lose 1 at 0 lp you get demoted.

At least there is promo helper now in lower elos. Should help you out in getting back to bronze 4.
