How Do I Climb? Help!!

KidDdA··1 votes·896 views

Okay, so I just went on a losing streak. 4 games. I have been playing 12 hours trying to get back to silver, because I know I don't belong in bronze. But, every time I lose I end up losing 2 times as much as I win. Say I win 10 LP, then if I lose a match later down the road I lost 20+ LP. I recently just lost 28 LP for one game. Now mind you, I was close to being bronze 1 once again from 91 LP to 63 LP. The loss of that LP put me on tilt and I have been playing like complete crap. That is insane amount of LP loss. How do I expect to climb? I win 63% of my matches yet I seem to only fall faster than I can climb. I know I can queue dodge to lower my MMR and thus matching against weaker players to gain more LP, but I don't want to waste my time doing that. I know I am not that bad of a player. Can some one please help me :/

Bronzie II 0 LP and falling.

just take a break from the game if you're on tilt. switch temporarily to another game, try to remember that league is nothing more than a game, and that you're supposed to be having fun.

I understand that, so I stopped playing for a while. But, it still doesn't help me I don't understand how I can win 63% of the games that I play and still not be able to climb? I am putting ranked off until the start of next season. I should be able to place low silver or Bronze I. I just don't understand why it is so hard to climb.

yeah it takes effort and time, which are two things I'd rather not invest into league, which is why i don't play much ranked. just try to play your best. you won't be able to carry every game, and if you're on tilt, just take a breather. besides, if you've been in low silver for a long time now, maybe it'd just be better for you. not trying to undervalue your skills, but it could be easier to play with other people in silver 5/bronze 1. good luck!

It really is. But, I want a challenge. I mean I am not pro, but when I play adc I destroy who ever I am laning against I hit 70 or 80 cs by 10 minutes while they are struggling to hit 60 cs. I am just struggling to understand why it is hard to climb :/

Sometimes its not about the laning, it sure helps yeah, but understanding proper adc mecanix and matchups is great too, also a decent support who can peel, duo'ing with a friend is in my experience the best way you can win,

agreed, but it still doesn't negate the fact that it is twice as hard to climb a division than it is to fall 2 division.

Thats weird. I usually gain as much as i lose but it still depends. But getting a duo is a sure way to have a better chanc

That won't help much. I mean if some one is smurfing in bronze, then I will loose just about the same amount as I have been losing. I don't understand why I am losing two times as much LP :/ it makes it ridiculously hard to climb.

If you consistently have an above 50% win rate you will climb. It may not happen immediately, but the mmr will level out and the lost rp will match or be beaten by the gained rp. Do that over and over and you will climb.

But as others have said. It's not just about laning, you need to know how to close a game too.

I may climb in the MMR bracket that I am in, but I won't be able to climb out of the division. I just had a game where I lost 24 LP. I won two games and now I am back at 27 LP. It seems impossible to climb if you lose more LP than you can possibly gain. I had 43 LP last night and with 2 losses I was at 0 LP. I understand why people call it ELO hell now. It is 2 times as difficult to climb a division that it is to drop two division. I was just in a game that I won and this Yasuo on the other team was doing amazing he went something like 21/8 and still his team lost. We didn't out rotate that team, tbh I don't even know how we won.

If your MMR goes up. You'll eventually start gaining more than you lose. Hence, you'll go up...

But it will take a while. You're trying to lift a number that is an average. Chaning an average takes a good bit of time.

Okay, can you explain to me how losing a game with more than 0 LP will demote you to a lower tier in the division. i understand it takes time, but by time it normalized I will have fallen from 1 division to the bottom of the other division. I have been hovering around B II for a while now and I can't seem to get to B I, what am I doing wrong? I know there isn't that much of a difference between B II and B I.

First you get a ladder, then place your hands on the top and feet on the bottom and start moving.

Not really helpful. But I thank you for you input.
