I don't understand what the challenge in Bronze Ranked is?

I really don't know why so many climbing up the ladder in Bronze consists on how many wins you get, considering that half of Bronze is either trolling, or very toxic. So what really is the challenge in Bronze? Being "good" or being able to tolerate the fools in that league?
