Matchmaking

I've noticed that for the past fifty or so ranked games I've played matchmaking has been extremely lopsided. Probably about ninety percent of the games I play one team just completely conquers the other, all lanes win for one team and all lose for the other. I understand maybe this is how it is at higher up ranks (though I doubt it), I'm in silver still, nothing has changed. It seems like riot is doing a poor job matching and making even teams because it's not even fun anymore. Either we get crushed or we crush, there's never a chance for both teams. Please look into how you're matching teams.

Riot's Matchmaking system isn't at all accurate for team play, and they won't take the time and effort to fix it until it completely stops working, simple as that. Riot's current system has multiple flaws in it from a mathmatical standpoint. An ELO based system (a system meant to match people 1-on-1) that correlates an INDIVIDUAL's skill based on TEAM wins/losses to create "balanced" teams is never going to have validity on the individual or team level. I hear people say "teams win games" all the time, but teams are made up of people, and a system is only as strong as it's weakest link. A system that assumes that the weakest link is as strong as all the other links simply because that link didn't break isn't doing any good to anybody.

TL:DR The current system is horrendously incompetent at what it is supposed to be doing and Riot will not put the proper time and effort into setting up a properly functioning bayesian based system that tracks personal metadata to use as a subset of matchmaking in order to validate outcomes until such a point that they are forced to do so.

Exact same thing. even games are so rare. usually a huge skill gap or the players can lane well but they become toddlers the second laning is over. "uhhhh... dragon now, or inhibitor?" "am i too far out? Oops, I died." "Hey, that champ just died to a 4v1 but that one enemy has low HP. Let me try to dive him!" "Oops, I died. Send in the rest, one at a time." "Hey, lets chase that low hp champ all the way across the map. Oh no, 5v4 and we all died because we were strung out from running. Awwww. Sorry, guess you better defend turrets all by yourself."
